1 ★ This app I've had for a long time and has served it's purpose over the years. However today especially I cannot log in. It will freeze momentarily for about 30 seconds and return an error message stating my email is wrong or it will return a message saying " An error has occurred". This is extremely unsettling knowing I use this for business. It is definitely lagging even when I go to log out it takes 30 seconds or longer before it will even log me out. FRUSTRATING!! (GALAXY S 22 ULTRA USER)
1 ★ I don't get it. It wouldn't let me create an account. It kept saying error and the password section would be red. Then it got stuck making me prove I was human forever. Then it would go back to the first page and say error again. Now I tried resetting the password to an account that hasn't been created and it tells me a password reset email has been sent. Wow! Amazing work developers.
1 ★ Not reliable at all! Decided to use it for my travel. Created a number and texted to myself to test that it works. Was able to get the sms. Maybe a week later, I got a popup that my number was revoked and transferred to another account, which was weird without even any notification. Ok. I tried to get new number, but the app shows error message that I violated their terms of use and that I cannot get a number. How this even possible if all i did is just send single sms to myself:(
3 ★ It works (or at least seems to receive calls and texts) when the app is opened up. But it seems like every 2 or 3 days it's telling me to complete my profile....which doesn't usually change much in 2-3 days as far as I know and that part is kinda annoying, but worse things have happened from free apps, if it would actually remember my info and receive texts and calls without being opened on my screen, it would get 5 stars
1 ★ Horrible Experince with this app. Consistent malfunctions. Over half of my outgoing calls were dropped, and I could not hear on one end or another or long interruptions. Was them logged out and unable to log back in. After reading good things I paid in full up front. Please have customer support contact me to or refund if issues can not be resolved in next week or so. Thank you.
4 ★ UPDATE 09/07/23 - 2ndLine Redeemed -- My request for support yielded good response and they fixed the problems. Changed to 4 Stars. Avoid this app, it's dead. After years of using this app with good results and keeping the same number, the app suddenly yanked my number and now just gives an error saying no new numbers available. So I can't even access the existing texts, contacts, etc. Attempts to contact support via email are useless. No replies. No help. And no way to use the app anymore.
1 ★ Used to work perfectly. When I installed the most recent update my number suddenly expired for no apparent reason. No option to log in, I am forced to the pick a number screen every time I open the app. Forced to pick a new number, no other option. Once I did so, I could clearly see the texts I sent this month along with a new message from 2nd line saying I lost my number because my account has been inactive for too long. Can't make that make sense.
5 ★ I have used this app since the beginning of 2020, and good days - bad days, it has been working very well. Real 2nd line!! No points to get, no videos to watch to accumulate points, just use it as much as you can. Just few publicities which is fine as they keep the app free of charge. Similar apps at the Apple store are around $10 per month. Welcome to Android!... For Canadians, one can get a free canadian number for convenience. The app is regularly updated and customer service is number One.👍
2 ★ I have downloaded multiple free phone number apps in hopes one would just work like normal. I used text now for the longest time. Ever since like 4 or more months ago when I'd text someone the text would send but it wouldnt go through to the other person. I tried multiple other apps and finally found this one. I had high hopes. I've barely been using it and it already sucks. Messages aren't sending at all and shows they failed. I need this to text important ppl like my gf! Please fix this.
1 ★ Absolute dirtbags. Had number for years. Paid for it for a long while then went back to free. Later, started warning to use number every few months to keep it. Then every month. Then they silently stopped notifying you at all. Over this whole time they jacked up the paid plan by a huge amount. Today, they took my number away for good, with no notification. Stay away unless you want to pay more for a 2nd line than you do for your main number!
1 ★ This is absolutely useless. Not one of my text messages has gone thru since installing this app. I even text my own main regular number and that one hasn't gone thru either. I have the new Samsung Galaxy S22 ultra and textnow seems to work fine but not the one. Guess I should have saved time and read all the other reviews first. Another useless app. And moving on
3 ★ I used to really love this Wi-Fi app but I'm so irritated I made a phone call only to have so much of my precious time wasted by the forceful and invasive ads that you have to watch after your call & can not escape! If u touch the screen to silence the neverending ads before the microscopic ( X ) appears, then you will be immediately taken to Google Play store over and over each time u tap ur screen to soon and it is most certainly having the complete opposite effect an ad is meant to create
1 ★ Avoid at all costs! Their support is email only. 2ndline runs off of TextNow but TextNow cannot help you, just 2ndline. Was with 2ndline for over 2yrs then they permanently the account with any reason, just stating to read the terms and conditions then they just say they can cancel for any reason lol. While I was able to port out to Tmobile, I wasn't able to access my 2yrs of text history as they said they can't unlock the account. Again, just avoid and spend your money else where.
1 ★ Similar issues as a couple other people. Had this for a while and happy with it. The usual pestering to send messages, ads, calls, etc and no problem. Then I'm notified my number has been reassigned due to lack of use. I've always responded to the text prompts, where's the texts? In the app I see where it SAYS I was texted daily reminders, but I don't have them in my phones history. I was offered another number but I was tied into the one I had. Overall suspicious, deleted app & comment here.
1 ★ It was OK for a while, used it so I had a second number for my email signature for work so I did not have to share my personal number. It often reminded me to send a message or make I called so I did not lose access. After the most recent reminder I used it for texting. Then out of the blue this morning with no notice it told me I had lost access to the number I had been using for several years. This is incredibly inconvenient given I had listed a number of places. Terrible experience!
