Roav VIVA 3.4.4 APK requires following permissions:

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows the app to answer an incoming phone call.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.

Allows applications to disable the keyguard if it is not secure.

Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.

3 ★ Was really great. Then two days ago, it started having issues playing music from Amazon Unlimited. Some songs it would play fine and others it would say it's having problems and skip the song... These are songs it's played numerous times before without issue. I can play the songs straight from my phone though. I tried uninstalling and then reinstall, but same issue.

3 ★ Issue 1: I can't get this new "beta zone" to show up in my app, so no trying of new functions for me. This is a problem as Echo Auto is on the horizon & this thing will have an impossible time competing with an official product that gets frequent updates & has the full, uncompromised Alexa functionality we are all accustomed to. Issue 2: though it is handy for a few functions, the big issue is lack of Spotify support. I'm not sure what is taking them so long to get it back into the main app after their beta from 6 months back or so. I have the APK from Anker directly that includes support for Spotify, but it's functionally bare bones & sometimes defaults back to thinking it can't play Spotify. Ask 1-3 more times, & it'll finally comply. Can't ask to play specific songs or anything. The Roav is likely not long for this world if they can't offer a compelling feature set comparable to Echo Auto, which will be official & cheaper.

2 ★ sometimes it works good. sometimes i cant get anything from it. i dont know if the app, phone service, or the plugin is the problem. they need to find a good solution to fix it. Do not even waste your time trying to listen to sirius xm. It continuously will say " Cannot play music because it is being streamed on another device."

5 ★ Despite the occasional misunderstanding where Alexa will mistakenly think she heard her name, I absolutely love having her in the car! While Android Auto runs my car's infotainment, Alexa runs my home, so it's extremely convenient to be able to have her change the temperature when I'm on my way home, turn the lights on or off, arm/disarm the alarm, or even unlock the door for the cleaning lady without having to open an app and pests a button while driving.

4 ★ Wow, wow, wow. I love having Alexa on my drive. It is synced with your Alexa app and provides all of the same features as your home unit. I would have given this a 5 star, but the mic has trouble hearing me even when my stereo's volume is somewhat low. Anker Roav can easily fix that by allowing the app to also utilize the microphone built in the synced phone in addition to the actual Roav. 4 ★ You have to speak quite loud to hear you. You definitely cannot travel with the windows open and speak to Alexa at the same time. The idea is brilliant and great in the car but for one thing for me, it's one great big down fall is that it cannot run Spotify and Amazon have made sure of that. Otherwise it is a great product.

4 ★ If you have Amazon Prime, this is GREAT! Setup was easy and it's very reliable. My only complaint.. The microphone could be better especially for a device meant for your vehicle. Cabin noise can interfere. I drive a Range Rover, it has very limited cabin noise yet i still need to raise my voice, sometimes, to get Alexa's response. Aside from inferior mic...I LOVE IT!! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

4 ★ Another fine Anker product. This pairs with your phone and connects to your car radio to bring hands free calls, entertainment, and productivity to you car by way of Amazon's Alexa. You must have phone to radio connectivity gear of some kind in place to use this, ie, radio must have bluetooth, or an aux port, or you need a bluetooth-to-fm modulator to get things going. Roav uses your phone's data plan. My only minus is that the device doesn't always pick up my voice if Im playing loud audio

1 ★ used to be great when it worked, although it could never play news briefings all the way through without having to constantly rewind and forward to get to the next. Tech support is terrible, they vowed to send you new ones or to call you back the same day or next day and don't follow through unfortunately. I had high hopes that this would be a wonderful device as they sounded very concerned initially, but then didn't follow through, never sent me a replacement and never called me back as promised

3 ★ Great device and when I first got Viva worked as advertised. But since the last update now it doesn't recognize my contact list. I was able to ask to call someone and it would've giving me the choice of home or mobile now it randomly picks a number to call. If they can fix this issue this will be a five star app

1 ★ It was great, now the curse of the "upgrades" has hit. It would only show while being used, and only had a small issue with having to yell to get alexa to listen. Now, the notification is on 24/7, it seems to hear less and when I talk to Alexa, the Roav screen comes on over my GPS and it is usually at very opportune times. Guess it is time to chunk it, like all of my products from them lately.

5 ★ how to say except that this is a great product and worth every penny. One thing I am having a little bit of trouble with is getting the navigation to work quickly. It also has a little bit of difficulty in understanding me when I compare it with my echo. But I still love the product and the affordability everybody needs to get one. 4 ★ Generally good. It can be a bit laggy, but nothing that's too much of a hindrance. My only annoyance is the music. Once you start playing music, it will ALWAYS automatically start playing said music as soon as you get in the car, even if you tell it to stop. It's really annoying because it not only uses data, but the timing could be bad.

2 ★ Works well when you are in a 4g area. 50% of the time I am not. There is no ability/skill to have it play my Amazon downloaded playlists or audio books from Amazon which is really annoying and frustrating. Instead I get no internet connection, please try again later. If I ask to play a playlist from my phone I get I don't know how to do that.

2 ★ took a break for about 6 months with the viva because it likes to take control over my phone. so if I ask Alexa via roav for my news then it will from that moment assume I only want to use the viva from that point on. if I start playing music from my phone, it will stop mid song and go back to the news or what ever I used last on the viva. time to unplug and check again in another 6 months.
