1 ★ It was a functional, inexpensive automation solution, but now they require a paid subscription. I'm not a fan of that, but I started to explore the option at least.... but I can't even log in to check in info now. My LastPass saved password for some reason is not recognized, and there's no 'forgot/reset password' option that I can find.. So I guess I'll abandon this product and try to discourage anyone from using it, since this company does not seem to care about their customers.
1 ★ Main purpose of why I bought this brand is to use the scenes and temperature feature. If create a scene to turn on a device if the temperature is <= 69. The first problem is temperature sets to 68 everytime. I turn off the upper temperature as it gets triggered in the off. When you close the app and reopen the scene it turns on the upper value to >=90 while the lower limit is set to <=68 which makes the scene inactive. I have sent feedback with video through the app. Waiting feedback.
1 ★ Have had the app for some time. I use it to control a couple outlets. It was easy to setup and use. But too many times it goes offline and my outlets are said to be unresponsive, yet other things work fine. Just updated the app today, and now they don't work, yet again. The app that controls all my other remote products always works. I'll get a different app, or get different outlets that work with my other app. It ruins the whole idea of smart controls, if I have to manually control them.
1 ★ It used to be annoying to change the temp because you had to change the upper and lower threshold separately. With this new update it's somehow even harder and it doesn't show you the current setting on the main screen. Also it forces you to select upper and lower bounds but it doesn't accurately follow the setting. The new format of the logs is worse too. 1 star might be a bit harsh but it's just so frustrating when a non-optional update make your already frustrating experience worse.
1 ★ I have many Sonoff devices for many years now and used to like this app a lot. Pairing was a breeze; took less than 1 minute to pair 1 device. I recently updated the app, I updated my wifi network and tried to reconfigure some devices, it took hours to go through the pairing steps again and again and again for each device. Technical support isn't helpful because they never got back to me. Your app really got all messed up somewhere along the way.
3 ★ Had everything set up with Ewelink and IFTTT. Now both apps require subscriptions. I pay for too many subscriptions as it is. If this is the future of modern technology, then I guess it's time to chuck it all and pull out my old x10 modules. They still work just like they did 30 years ago. The least you can do is add a date (month and day) setting to the scheduler. I'm sick to death of greedy app developers!
2 ★ Was working until latest update. Now, timer function is impossible to schedule as before, ie: turn on at xxtime; then turn off at xxtime everyday. The "scene" thing is not at all intuitive. It doesn't appear to be able to create one scene with both on and off but creating two scenes seems impossible, also. Hopefully I can add the device to another app that works.
3 ★ This application has great potential, if it can manage to bridge together a majority of the smart devices. The worst part of having a smart home is that there is no single app which can control the many different devices. I have purchased their yearly subscription of upgraded service to support the development. I would like to see the addition of Amcrest Cameras and Magic Home devices.
1 ★ Constantly disconnecting. Why dose this app keep disconnecting from the device? It may very well be the worst app/device combo that I have ever used. I keep hoping one of the numerous updates will fix it but I don't have faith it will. I am going to find a different switch and app combo. My advice to anyone thinking about this app and device solving your power switch problem, find a different solution or you will be randomly disconnecting and reconnecting. Awful app/switch combination.
1 ★ Taking EXISTING free features and charging for them - ifttt integration was free for years and suddenly it requires a paid subscription. If you want to add a new feature and require payment for the new feature that is entirely legitimate, but don't play with features you have offered in the past - that is bait and switch! When a company does this they have lost track of their clients and they don't deserve further business.
5 ★ Using for timers and electricity monitoring, this app works excellently for me. I set my on/off times, overload amperages, and temp/humidity and let it go. In more than a year of constant use, only 1 time did a light fail to come on at the correct time. The app allowed me to switch it on with a tap and thankfully it hasn't happened again. My A/C unit is controlled by a TH16. It is not as reliable as the timers, every now and then, my temp alarm will sound and I must switch AC on. Love Ewelink!
4 ★ I have been using the app for four years. Noticeabl improvements over the years. I use the app to control humidity in my bedrooms during dry winter time with the sonoff th16 and the humidity sensor. But sometime this year the humidity indicator in the app was changed to dial one with just three zones. Now I can only guess what the humidity is. I would like to see the digital readings back.
3 ★ DO NOT PAY FOR ADVANCED. No support, Tablet is only portrait mode. First I tried for an hour to connect these Sonoff "smart" plugs. Going a different route now. edit; went from 1 star to 3. I gave this another shot. Finally got some devices to connect. The pairing instructions are not accurate. so far I have 2 "homes" set up. dc switches, smart plugs, and some ac in line controllers. Imported to Google Home. Some issues with false reads on buttons though. show on but actually off.
1 ★ Lousy - exasperating - time-consuming. I'm just trying to pair several devices. They are in pairing mode as described by the app - blinking constantly. I put in my exact wifi id and password (it actually fills the id in since I'm connected to that wifi). Keeps saying unable to find device no matter how close I put the device, phone and router together. I can see the device (IP address, Mac address etc) in my list of wifi connections . This app is a waste of time
1 ★ Horrible! I got the device that uses this software a year ago it took over 60 tries to get it to connect and to do that I literally had to lay the device and my phone on top of the router and still took 11 tries for it to connect. I had to update my wifi recently and I'm up to 34 attempts and still not connecting. Purchase equipment that uses Tuya or Gosund, this software is the worst. It says updated 8/22 but it's the same look and same performance. Absolute Garbage!
