1 ★ Why does this app keep trying to get me to open my secure folder? It pops up saying Google playstore update with a warning sign and when I go to click on it, it takes me to unlock my secure folder and the notification completely disappears. There are only a few pictures in that folder, should be nothing to update and webview should not need to open that to update. It happens a lot. Creepy. I want to uninstall due to this and other weird reviews, but some reviews say things won't work without it?

1 ★ Music plays randomly after October 10th 2023 update. If I go force quit this thing it stops the music. It starts back up once you start any application it might need related to media watching or music. It's irritating because it can pop up randomly at any time. If I turn my media volume all the way down it goes away. I can also disable it but you lose the ability on many applications related to media. Wellness song part from Say you will the music repeating. Never heard of them.

1 ★ Hey VP! Run Wireshark on your network to verify: This app opens mini Chrome browser from within other apps! Looks convenient, but bypasses any antisnooping I set up in regular Chrome. You guys must really hate it when we do not use your products! This is really low. Now, you spy in any app that is not yours. UNINSTALL ALL UPDATES. I will post way to block it completely from opening links from within apps, since it cannot be uninstalled.

1 ★ If people would manually update then they'd see that the developers haven't done any updates even though it may try to when you set your phone to automatically update. I've learned this when I had issues with fb and other apps. You can go to playstore, manage your apps and update or choose not to when you tap the arrow to the right of each app. People usually set their phones to automatically update and thats great but I learned it downloads stuff that you may /may not want. 10-23 still nothing.

1 ★ After resetting my device, and disabling all possible settings & without logging into any accounts. I updated only this App. This app alone turned on my Nearby Share app and settings, NFC, bluetooth, and WiFi settings. At first, I thought it was the apps that depended on this. Now I have isolated it to this app alone. Specifically several of the recent updates since early September and through October 2023. Sometimes people in positions of authority commit very wrong acts. Right now, I don't trust Google. Which is sad, considering they hold all the keys to all the back doors on Android phones like mine. Please audit yourselves publicly Google.

3 ★ If you downloaded the app update, uninstall the update. Your phone should begin to work normal. This is a well known bug/glitch that I've been told by Google they're working on. July 22nd update Still having conflicting app and system issues. Edit: Update - Google has worked to fix the glitches. The app is stable. There are some issues in downloading. Uninstall and reinstall.

1 ★ I have the samsung Galaxy A53 and its just always freezing and restarting. Sometimes I get pop sounds and a line across my screen and the phone is froze and it goes off. I wonder if this is the culprit that's doing that to my phone? I don't know what it is but it's annoying always going into my chrome browser or doing something on my phone then it freezes up for a couple of minutes then shuts down and restarts after all the reviews here it's either this or private computing app. Wow.

1 ★ I got a pop-up on 7/29 that said "Uninstall WebView Updates. The installed version of WebView caused Chrome to crash. Uninstall the WebView updates and then restart Chrome." I tried to ignore it but every time I try to open Chrome it crashes. Last time it made my Samsung email app keep crashing. I don't even have any clue what this app does!! NOW, ON 9/11 MY DAMSUNG EMAIL KEEPS CRASHING AND LEAVING THE SAME MESSAGE TO UNINSTALL THIS APP. WH? WHAT'S GOING ON, PLEASE?

1 ★ I've had more problems the past three months with white outs, black outs and YouTube playing when I've closed it out, up to three times, the phone rings and no possible way to answer it, no one ringing in. As if the phone is possessed and I did rebuke and said a prayer over my electronics. It helped but it is something that I started doing daily now bc it randomly does what it wants when it wants. I would like the freezing stopped, doesn't seem like the download system software works.

1 ★ Whatever you did, undo it. Got a message saying Webview Update caused Chrome to crash, and to Uninstall it and restart Chrome. Did that, and still no web access. Reinstalled it, hoping it was a corrupted file and putting it on fresh would fix the issue, but nope. I have no idea when this app was even installed, unless it was pre-installed when I got my phone; I certainly didn't download it; I never heard of it before the error. Fix. It.

1 ★ After reading comments left by others I realize there is something wrong on your end. Situation: I keep getting notifications saying this version of webview has crashed my browser. Please uninstall updates. Aell,I've done it...about a zillion times in the last few days. I am unable to get any of my work done, or check my email. Edit: got it fixed completely destroyed all my open windows. All work related all very important. Please fix this.

1 ★ My Chrome app keeps crashing. I'm told it's because of the latest version of this app and got a notification to delete the latest update. I did that and Chrome worked for a little bit and then stopped working. I tried reinstalling the updated version of this and it worked again for a little bit. Chrome is now continuing to crash and I can't open the app on my phone without it crashing. This issue needs to be fixed ASAP.

1 ★ I'm having the same issue reported by other reviewers. I had no idea this app existed until it crashed. The phone keeps asking me to unistall and reinstall. I have done that multiple times and it still crashes and says it needs reinstalled. The issue is that this app (I now know) controls the ability to open things in a new app/window. I cannot open any links from Gmail, text, Facebook, a Google search, etc. I even tried updating the phone software with no improvement.

1 ★ Most of the time I can't uninstall it, so I've kept it disabled, two separate occasions it let me, then instantly reinstalled itself and removed it's option to uninstall, this last time it suddenly integrated itself in some way with a couple other appssome are work related apps, and it won't let them function without it enabled now, please unintegrate it from them so they function normally again and get it out of my phone..

1 ★ Update crashes apps. Things were working fine, and this latest "fix" just made many of my apps instantly crash. As you see by the reviews, the issue has yet to be addressed by the developers. It's rendering the phone unusable. I've unistalled, reinstalled, cleared cache, disabled, etc. to no avail. How long until this gets resolved? It's been a couple of weeks now, and still no repair! Come on, get on it already!
