Description

Android Accessibility Suite is a collection of accessibility apps that help you use your Android device eyes-free or with a switch device.

Android Accessibility Suite includes:
• Accessibility Menu: Use this large on-screen menu to lock your phone, control volume and brightness, take screenshots, and more.
• Select to Speak: Select items on your screen and hear them read aloud.
• TalkBack screen reader: Get spoken feedback, control your device with gestures, and type with the on-screen braille keyboard.

To get started:
1. Open your device's Settings app.
2. Select Accessibility.
3. Select Accessibility Menu, Select to Speak, or TalkBack.
• For TalkBack, you can also press and hold both volume keys.

Android Accessibility Suite requires Android 6 (Android M) or later. To use TalkBack for Wear, you'll need Wear OS 3.0 or later.

Permissions Notice
• Phone: Android Accessibility Suite observes the phone state so it can adapt announcements to your call status.
• Accessibility Service: Because this app is an accessibility service, it can observe your actions, retrieve window content, and observe text that you type.
• Notifications: When you allow this permission, TalkBack can notify you about updates.

Note: Switch Access has been removed from the Android Accessibility Suite. You can download the Switch Access app instead (g.co/play/switchaccess).

1 ★ 9.1 - i can no longer listen to ebooks due to the terrible lag between when i tap the screen and when it actually starts reading the text(30 seconds) Please please fix this. I used this app daily and have not been able to for a while now. Roll back whatever... This is not the only issue. Fix it. This is quite literally unacceptable for multiple reasons.

1 ★ on my UMX phone it doesn't even work and whenever there is a comma it takes so so long to read what was there after it, like over 1 minute and even after exclamation points, I only use this app to read what's on my screen because I don't feel like reading it out loud myself, but still fix this ASAP! oh yeah and the voices sound really weird, I hate it, it creeps me out.

1 ★ I agree with others about the bugs and drawbacks of the current version. I want the old version back; I could operate my phone more easily. The voice slowed and i can't get it back to where i had it, no matter what I do. Who the heck thought this would be an improvement? I hope google is paying attention. Please put gestures back to what they used to be.

3 ★ There is this annoying bug where if you turn on advanced feature read in background on text to speech, if you then use touch zoom at the same time to read ahead or whatever, something low vision users like to do, it will crash in some apps like the Google Play store and Facebook. Sorry, I know, this is a lot of feature stacking. But that always renders a crash. It's annoying because people just so happened to like using these features together.

1 ★ Whatever this app is intended for is of no use for me. By carrying my phone in my hand with the screen unlocked, I have mistakenly activated this app on two occasions. It alters and hinders interface navigation COMPLETELY and is virtually impossible to shut off! When activated, it is defaulted to take over everything... It's totally ridiculous (for me anyway). If this app does not apply to an impairment you have, I recommend disabling it before u accidentally get stuck in it's vortex!

1 ★ Now when I go to edit(crop) a photo I take the photo all of a sudden goes black. If it's a new upgrade,it sucks. Have to use a text on photo app to do that now...😡Cannot fix what I can't see !!!!

1 ★ I truly hate this app.. got my new phone in February and 2days after....I have no way to even open accessabilitie or suite and package installer has glitches. The most annoying thing is the reaccuring pop up about accessabilitie not working..go to settings. As long as I have settings menu opened it pops up every 5 seconds and gets in way of screen and what I'm doing...I hate this and it's frustrating, inconvenient and bloody annoying

5 ★ generator. Below is a Simple Solution 1) Count number of nodes by traversing the list. 2) Traverse the list again and select every node with probability 1/N. The selection can be done by generating a random number from 0 to N-i for i’th node, and selecting the i’th node node only if generated number is equal to 0 (or any other fixed number from 0 to N-i). We get uniform probabilities with above 1/n if (rand() % n == 0) result = current->key; // Move to next node

1 ★ Just another glaring example of why Apple/iPhone is better. I didn't want to believe it. I left 10 years of iPhones and bought this flagship galaxy s10 thinking it would be amazing but the more I use it, the more I see that if you want a reliable, quality device, stick with Apple. I have to use my iPhone for accessibility features still and can't rely on this because it is downright embarrassing how primitive and completely insulting android's accessibility features are. It's really sad.

3 ★ Would be great if I could get it to learn how to go not always stay on the screen meaning it takes away from my screen space unless it's a certain kind of app or game or something cuz it's always there it's right on the bottom you got an arrow you got a circle and you got a square and it's pain in the butt but if you don't have it on you can't get it up when that screen is full take that so you can exit out of it and never pin anything on your screen it doesn't come

1 ★ To the developers, when trying to use what's on my screen or read my screen it keeps telling me that I have not authorized this service wereand what I need to do in settings. I did everything that it told me to instill it did not work. Right now I'm trying to use the speech to text and everytime it cuts me off and I pushed the speaker multiple times just to get through this text message before cutting me off every few words!@😒😕☹

1 ★ Yes I got this installation unbeknownst to me. I did not want this update only because now there's different menus and now I cannot use the up and down volume keys together to stop her from speaking the only option I have is covering the proximity sensor which sometimes is helpful but other times I want to completely off so I can watch a movie. Another thing is when you go to the app under the app section of my phone, when you open this app as far as the Android accessibility suite they give you

1 ★ Awful, Every time my clock sttikes 11:00 or so the greyscale turns on, at first i thought i lost all color on my phone. but it's awful. It did that on its own because i have never messed with accessibility other than to turn it off

1 ★ To be blunt, this app is more of a hindrance than a help. Before she even knew this app was available, my mom has accidentally turned it on I don't know how many times. It makes the phone difficult to use and more of a pain than it is worth. We finally uninstalled the app.

1 ★ Features come & go without warning & NO USABLE HELP DOCS. Example: Been using AAS daily , Accessibility Button settings are GONE. Cannot add TALKBACK to accessibility button! In fact, NO SETTINGS exist now for the button, app shortcuts in button, accessibility menu, & more. Accessibility settings only allow to choose app or "device service" to have accessibility permission. Worse, Google Search keeps getting more USELESS. ALL GOOGLE SEARCHES are worse than Prelude to Foundation's Uni Search...
