4 ★ This app is amazing. My only issue is the download part. It 70% crashes if you don't have a good Internet. Yes, we don't have that strong connection. But in some apps, in your level, when I download podcast/music won't crush. It's just slow and that's good enough for me because i don't have to click it again and again just to retry. Google, not all people play podcast online, some people download it and listen and I am those "some people". Also, include a feature that we can create a playlist.

1 ★ I'm having constant glitching and repeats. Been happening for months. At its worst, for every minute of play, it reverses and replays 10secs. It doesn't seem to matter if it's streaming or a downloaded episode. I try the same podcast episode on Google play music app & Spotify and it'll work fine but not all of the same podcasts are available and the Spotify interface sucks. I've removed a ton of downloads, cleared app cache, force-stopped the app and restarted, even rebooted the phone.

2 ★ The layout of the app has got worse both functionally and aesthetically since the update. There used to be a grid of your subscriptions that you could arrange however you wanted, to choose what you wanted to listen to at a glance. Now subscriptions are inconveniently on a single row at the top ordered by what you listened to last, and the screen is mostly taken up by a feed of new episodes, which isn't particularly helpful if you're mostly listening to the back catalogue of older podcasts.

5 ★ Lots of improvements from the old app (Google play music). One of my favorite improvements is when I'm listening to a podcast in my vehicle and getting driving directions. Before, when the directions would step on the podcast, I would lose a few seconds worth of podcast when it resumed. That was annoying because I always had to rewind. Doesn't do that anymore!!

2 ★ Really easy if you want to do exactly what Google thinks you should want to do. And don't want to do it on a Chromebook, at least on my Chromebook that happily runs another, much better podcast app. If you want to do anything Google considers advanced, you run into a brick wall. And you will, eventually if not right away, so you might as well just learn to use a more flexible app and skip this one. For me, brick wall number one is podcasts that the search engine can't find. There is, at present, no hint of a way to add a podcast that you know the URL for but that Google doesn't.

2 ★ Loved the app for what I needed it for. However, with the new Android update, it stops everytime my screen locks. It's the most frustrating thing I've ever experienced. I've tried EVERYTHING to make it stop. Nothing has stopped it and I am at a point where I need to find a new podcast app that hopefully works better.

4 ★ not sure if this is intentional or what, but everytime I try to listen to Mr. Graves' Podcast, Bare With Us, the app stops, and shuts down... again, don't know if that is my fault or on Google, but it's kinda frustrating. Other than that, I can see no other areas of improvement for this app.

4 ★ The best podcast app. Highly underrated. Better than Spotify. I gave it a try and I listen to all my pods from Google Podcasts ever since. This app is not good at all though in discovering new pods to listen to because it just shows you the most popular ones for any given genre. You have to research on your own good podcasts to listen to. That's one advantage over Spotify. Also Spotify recommends really good podcast shows similar to what you like, and it's much easier to find a good podcast.

3 ★ Some podcasts episodes are missing. I could have been great if there were transcripts. Some time I want make some notes so I think a note making feature would be great. I really liked the trim silence feature and increase playback speed (I don't know if other apps have this feature or not) And I really want that my downloads are categorised on the basis of podcasts is that is.

4 ★ Good experience overall. A few upload errors and my listen history reset once on a series but no major issues so far. The "explore topics in this episode" function is nice. Being able to go directly to the RSS feed has also been helpful in instances of upload errors. Night mode looks great and I like that recommendations are on a secondary tab and not the home screen. The two issues mentioned may not even be due to the app but rather the content publisher idk

5 ★ Works well in the background and doesn't even need picture in picture on. No complaints. Good search (actually finds the podcast ur looking for if you type in the person's name) where as I've had trouble finding podcasts with other apps if I didnt know the specific podcast name. Will continue to use so long as an update doesn't make it worse!

3 ★ I enjoy this app, happy I can download podcasts. Middle of Colorado not very well known for its great cell coverage. Can't seem to stop cast on Bluetooth after say ending a call. They just keep going. Also would like the option to like dislike casts. Seems to eat a lot of battery thru the Google app so you can't see what it takes by itself.

2 ★ Needs work for primetime. Simple to use but is lacking lots of functionality. Also, there are significant podcasts that it has downloaded but won't play because of "issues" can't delete them and can't redownload them because we are not on a WiFi. Overall, I was excited to have it but then disappointed!

4 ★ Edit: extra star for paying attention. Way to go! Nice but probably not enough of you are an avid podcast listener. The interface is simplistic at the point that features your might expect, like sorting your subscriptions, are not there, and make things cumbersome if you have many subscriptions. The best feature IMHO is the sync between devices and the web version, make it easy to jump from one place to another and keep listening to the same podcast.

3 ★ It's good enough, but SHOULD be better. I love being able to continue playback on other devices, easily my favorite aspect, but it's a featureless podcast app. Rudimentary, basic, entry-level. One thing that I, personally, would like to see, is a player widget. That's worth another star. An option to hide/see played episodes would be enough to get a full 5 stars from me.
