5 ★ This is an excellent app. It not only adds a convenience it also promotes safe driving. I recently had a problem where it wouldn't respond; or drop out midway through an answer. I cleared the cache and data storage on both the Google and the Assistant Apps. I did this through the App access in the phone settings. Turn Hey Google back on under Voice in Google App settings. Now it's working perfectly. I've put this here in the hopes that it may help someone else. Excellent App! Highly recommend.

1 ★ It seems as if the Google voice recognition has gotten worse over the last 5 years. I had a Nexus 6p and it was able to pick up my OK Google commands from across the room. Now I'm struggling it for it to recognize my voice when my phone sitting right beside me. I've retrained my phone like 7 times to no avail.

5 ★ I love the Google assistant app it is great. It does so many things for you like set your alarm clock. Add things to your Google calendar. Look stuff up on the Internet. Give you information that you're looking for without having to actually go in to the Google app and look stuff up with your hand. You can do it all by just the speak of your mouth. How great is that. If you're super busy then this is the app for you! It get stuff done very fast by just talking not typing and touching your phone!

1 ★ The Assistant does not respond to "Hey Google" unless you manually unlock the screen, which makes it practically useless: If I have my phone in my hand, what do I need to use voice commands for? How silly this recent change was! My response to the developer: "Lock Screen Personal Results" is turned on and was turned on before I posted this message. The Web is full of complaints about this issue. Fix it.

2 ★ Usually have to tell my assistant twice before it does what I want. Microphone can't hear me over music playing, activates with my friends voices when I didn't let them sign in. Its been 3 years since I've had mine and the improvements are too slow and incremental. Bad quality speaker on the assistant speaker, assistant doesn't work properly from lock screen on not 20 either, however the nest wifi mesh system has me impressed. Hence 2 stars and not one.

3 ★ My current issues are, firstly, that despite lowering sensitivity as much as possible, Assistant responds to ANY voice on TV uttering the words "Ok" or "Hey" (and not followed by the word Google), which are said A LOT. Is this not why we create voice models? It's annoying and ought to be addressed. In addition to this, I'd also really like to see a continually updating lexicon of proven commands somewhere in the help center. A lot of the suggested actions do not work.

1 ★ I've been using this for a year. And two hours ago it quit working, and says "google assistant isn't available on this device" , I have everything up to date!!! Edit. It can't even open. The app, I'll repeat what I said, you clearly didn't read what I wrote to you. I click on the app, and a page comes up that SAYS "Google assistant isn't available on this device" and the only option it gives me, is to close the app. Again.. IT WONT EVEN LET ME OPEN THE APP!!!

2 ★ If you're willing to give personal information for a profile this app works well. However if you refuse to allow location data and app to save voice and searches, it won't even place a call from your local contacts list. If you have certain music players it will either ignore them in favor of Google Music or will just bring up the song instead of playing it, or if you were in the middle of a song just continue that song instead of switching to the one you asked for. Or plays wrong song.

3 ★ It works fine for the most part. I don't get why I have to unlock my phone to use it though. I mean it has a copy of my voice. Surely the speaker used with the microphone and the GPS have computed the dimensions of my place by now and referenced housing records to make sure? Also I don't like that now I have to tell it to turn my TV off twice because it first stops my program and then actually turns it off the second time. Total inconvenience. I mean it works, but some things could be improved.

4 ★ I like this app but it needs improvements. You want to stay so close to the phones microphone to ask question accurately. Sometimes it's stop in between work. It is very slow and sometimes it won't reply to the questions. And I would like a personal assistand+virtual friend who you can chat with and I would also like weekly updates according to user reviews like mine. So I wish that you write me back and take my suggestion seriously.

1 ★ Could not be worse than this. Summoning Alexa is easy as butter and works well in recognising the voice clearly. Yes Alexa cannot acheive complicated things, but still it gets the simpler things does flawlessly. While for the same, Google assistant takes my entire lifetime and my energy that I get fed up and do that myself. Thanks to oneplus for having both pre-installed, that I can choose alexa for most things

2 ★ It keeps saying "can't reach Google at the moment", I have done everything I could, from fixing the internet, restarting my phone, change the settings, and to google community post, none of it seems to work, so please, if you can, make an update for this app and fix the problem. I love google assistant, but I hate the fact that I need to click on Google assistant to ask something and I can't use the voice command since it keeps saying "can't reach Google at the moment", thank you for your help

4 ★ The only problem with this app is features don't work properly in Android tab I cant get it to read whats on my screen,can't get it to open whatsapp, can't view 3d animals etc But it works in other devices I already gave feedback In the app. Google please find out and let me know a solution for this. I've been using assistant for years in other device And its GREAT!!!!

1 ★ I get that people have to try to be kind, fair with their views or opinions, but I cannot pretend Android isn't the disorderly ugly mess it is. Animations when signing into my Google account or the progress graphics while installing an app on Google's play store, are infuriatingly bad. I don't, for the life of me, get how Google does not understand why people keep saying Android is utter trash. I have no doubt in my mind that dedication goes into creating it, but it's total rubbish.

1 ★ I am getting the blue bar "get started" bug; installing Cortana and disabling assistant until fixed; this bug had been reported significantly by other users and it's not new. (Update to delete reply) obviously you did not read the review which is why this bug has probably lasted for so long; Please don't waste my personal time with "canned" replies.
