5 ★ This app was fun while it lasted. Now they're going to discontinue it and push you to their messages app, but the Samsung UI is better and I already use that as well. Google should have built their messages app into Allo instead, that would have pulled me from Samsung.
5 ★ Great cross platform messaging service. To bad Google is deciding to go with a non secure, carrier driven solution instead. One day they'll think about the end user again.
3 ★ Just received an update. The camera function does not allow you to record video. Why are you getting rid of this amazing and 5 star app (if you bring back the video capabilities)?
5 ★ Hiii... Why delete this.. I very like this... I like design.. Icon.. Feature... This my best my chat apps.. If you delete this.. I don't know what app i can use.. Whatapp.. Is so bad.. That just can chat.. Not smart.... Please... I very need this app.. I very hate.. Hear this... Please don't delete it
3 ★ Okay Google (no pun intended), you killed Hangouts by removing SMS support, you released Allo with way more features and still left out SMS support and now it's been announced you're killing off Allo all together.. third time's the charm here, what's next? No idea, but it clearly seems that you should ADD SMS SUPPORT to the next one so it can be an all in one messaging app just like original Hangouts, honestly just rebrand Hangouts as Hangouts+ and call it a day. Add Allo features like Google assistant in chat, add SMS support, bingo bango, ready to go, take over the world.
5 ★ Was really liking this app since yahoo left us hanging. It had a lot of features I liked. I guess I'll stop using message apps and just start texting.
1 ★ In my previous review I said Allo needed to grow up quick or die and die it will be. Why oh why Google didn't you build out hangouts with all the Allo features, who is making these crazy product decisions. You are harming your reputation no end, what a debacle. You have the talent, just grow some balls and make life simpler and better integrated for your customers, stop spamming us with needless apps. One best of breed messaging app is all we need, make it happen! Don't you think jist RCS is the answer either it's not secure, where is that brick wall I need to bang my head against.
5 ★ Very disappointed at Google to stop using this app come March 2019. Was the best messaging app.
4 ★ I'm sad to hear Allo is going the way of chat on, seems Google changes messaging app let some people change underwear. LOL!
5 ★ Brilliant app, I've used it so much. It's pretty much the only thing I use on my phone. What a shame it will be when Google stop people using it. I will certainly miss it.
5 ★ greatest chatting app i had ever used but don't know why google is shutting it down , this is cheating by google team , we want to keep this app.... stop investing in it but please dont shut down it....
5 ★ Would be nice to link Google account instead of phone number, I switch numbers when I travel and there is no way to get message if you can't turn on your other sim
5 ★ I am enjoying using Allo. Waiting for few basic features like chat backup, long duration video files. Edit image before send etc.
4 ★ Don't shut this down. Rated 4 for taking out the gif cam. Moving this to Messages is not a smart move. Don't try to be Apple. We are using Android for a reason.
5 ★ Another Google messenger app bites the dust. I won't bother with the next. I can't be confident it'll be around long enough to catch on.
