Description
Cloud server, WI-FI router, Mobile equipment and WiFi Plugtop are absolutely necessarily equipments;
The control way is, apps send the signal to cloud server, cloud server translate the directive and forward to wi-fi plugtop through wi-fi router. The end wi-fi plugtop perform the directive. The Wi-fi plugtop can perform ON or OFF directive, ON is meaning contact the power between electrical appliance and power supply. OFF is vice versa.

SilverCrest Wifi Plug 1.2.0 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

4 ★ Previous version allowed icons to be photos but I can't get the new version (1.2.0) to allow this, either through camera or gallery. Developers please have a look at this! Apart from that, I find it works fine at home & away, the timers and countdown work fine too. The actual plugs have higher rated relays inside for 13a instead of the normal 10a max load too.

4 ★ The app and the switch work reliably and I am really happy with it. Some features could be improved, though. It is - for example - quite cumbersome that you have to delete and re-create the timers every time you just want to change the switch on/off times slightly.
3 ★ I used to be able to change the icon image with the camera or a photo. Now, it no longer works. It saves the image, but it remains unaltered. Some serious bugs inn the timers, too. And pairing is a bit of a nuisance.
4 ★ It has some glitches, but overall I am impressed with the quality of this product: The app has simple screens. The device consumes very little power (measured it at 0.2 W), boots in about 2 seconds, and is much easier to configure than a similar product from a well-known brand (which I also bought). I would like an SDK and/or documentation so I can program the device myself within my LAN (which is why I also bought the competing product).
1 ★ Had to remove them as the plugs were switching themselves off cutting the electrical power to my 2 fridges...not reliable..do something!😠
