"A pioneering initiative by DMCA, the Dubai Maritime Virtual Cluster (DMVC) provides an important platform to effectively engage the global maritime community in the activities of the local maritime cluster.
DMVC will facilitate effective communication among members of the cluster and removing the constraints of time and distance. The project will also promote engagement among the global maritime community on Dubai’s maritime activities based on four main objectives: development of maritime clustering, empowerment, awareness and engagement.
Why DMVC?
∙ A major step in line with the Dubai’s efforts to become the world’s smartest city
∙ Created to enhance flexibility, efficiency and quality of integrated services
∙ To improve research, development and innovation capabilities
∙ To promote best practices and services, and a culture of innovation across various maritime sub-sectors
∙ To Bring in value added maritime services through DMVC and virtual channels
Through DMVC, you will:
∙ See, feel and engage with Dubai Maritime Cluster anywhere anytime
∙ Have seamless access to Dubai’s maritime services through its Virtual Cluster Service Catalogue
∙ These services will include arbitration, training, legal, insurance and finance, ship brokerage services, shipping services, ports, ship building and repair, marine and offshore, licensing, business setup, and maritime leisure
∙ Engage on a global platform that promotes maritime innovation and R&D
∙ Have a one-point access to Dubai’s Cluster Knowledge Platform"
