This exciting and immersive app allows you to travel back in time to visit ancient Roman Asolo. You can view in standard 2D mode or immersive yourself in the incredible VR (Virtual Reality Mode) in the north of Italy.
Explore the Roman settlement of Asolo, from a number of different vantage points. Do this tour in the city, or at the Asolo museum – or simply do it sitting on your couch at home or in your classroom.
Every detail of this experience has been researched and produced in conjunction with Asolo municipal museum and you will see many incredible things, including the baths at the centre of the city, a marvellous view of the forum and basilica and then into the tunnels of the “La Bot” aqueduct.
Asolo was an important commercial centre due to its proximity to the via Postumia that ran along northern Italy, which facilitated trade between its merchants and artisans with other major economic centres of the region. As a Roman city, Asolo was furnished with many of the conventional civic and economic structures of the time, including the forum, baths, the aqueduct and the theatre, all of which you can explore in these incredible reconstructions from the 2nd century CE.
