The app also includes:
• Information about implicit modelling and Leapfrog software
• Videos of geological models
How to get started:
1) First download the augmented reality application, then print the marker by visiting http://www.leapfrog3d.com/marker
2) Open the app and hover your device over the marker to explore the 3D geological model
About Leapfrog
Leapfrog was a pioneer in the development of the implicit modelling approach to modelling geology and has continued to set the standard for the industry. Geologists in the mining, groundwater contamination and geothermal energy industries increasingly use implicit modelling software for their geological modelling requirements.
Implicit modelling
Implicit modelling software enables fast and efficient creation of 3D models without the need to manually wireframe. Implicit modelling allows geologists to explore multiple geological scenarios, communicate complex information and ultimately reduce risk and better inform the decision making process.
Technical device requirements
• Minimum Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich)
• OpenGLES2
• Camera (Front facing)
• A reasonable level of graphics rendering hardware to run the Unity3D Game Engine.
The app also includes:
