Al Mashghal app is designed to serve Al Mashghal – The Hub, a platform initiated within universities in Lebanon, playing a pivotal role in building an inclusive economy and society for youth by closing the gap between education, community and business.
Al Mashghal is composed of three components, each with a different function, yet all complementing each other for improved access to information, evidence-based labor market interventions, and the encouragement of social innovation.
Al Mashghal components:
- Labor Market Observatory: The labor market observatory is an online research tool and database that provides students, universities, private sector and international organizations with regular data and analysis on the status of the market in terms of jobs required, trends, skills required, sectors needed and other relevant information.
- Curricula Design: The Curricula design component aims at boosting employability through providing university and vocational students with new market-oriented and adapted curricula. During this process, universities and vocational institutions will be supported to design market relevant curricula and use experiential learning techniques
- Social Innovation Hub: The Social Innovation Hub is a physical a space within the universities designed with collaborative governance and a sustainable model to provide students with entrepreneurship, placement and learning services
This application is designed to serve students, universities, businesses, governmental and non- governmental institutions in the various components of Al Mashghal and mostly in the case of the labor market observatories.
This application functions as a data collection tool and a communication platform between the partner universities and the businesses who wish to become part of Al Mashghal platform. It also provides information access to students who wish to understand labor market trends for research studies, or for their future career orientation.
Businesses can sign up and fill in surveys on regular basis, and receive in return reports to better understand the overall business trends of their industry as well as become aware of opportunities to enhance their human resources through educational events or through employing students or prospect interns that are members of the platform.
Al Mashghal App also provides the opportunity for multilateral communication among various stakeholders, labor market information access, and opportunities for socio-economic development at the local and national levels.
