Fishing should not be complicated and especially now when there are additions that can change the behavior of a fishing hook. This addition changes the fishing hook into an explosive device. Every time you throw a fish hook, it instantly causes an explosion. It might not kill everything immediately, but it will definitely damage a nearby entity.
Use the rod to throw the fishing hook. It will immediately explode and damage nearby objects. Bombs do not use any durability on the fishing rod.
