1. Collect data from human subjects in research studies in real time. Gone are the days of activity logs and surveys!
2. With the Activity Validation App (AVA) research groups working with human subjects can collect information from research participants in real time using a mobile platform such as a phone or a tablet. AVA manages all aspects of information management including:
a. Storing custom questions and answers generated for a participant by the research study
b. Sending questions to participants at customizableintervals or times
c. Expiring unanswered questions
d. Storing the responses of participants
e. User friendly web interface for research groups to view, download and analyze participant responses
Depending on the security needs of the user, data can be encrypted to ensure secure transmission meeting most IRB requirements and stored on HIPPA compliant servers.
AVA can be used with any segment of the population with access to a smart device. It was originally designed for data collection from older adults and is based on principles of simplicity and ease of use.
