− Mr. Prom Chan (deceased in 2012).
The translation project started in 1985 and was initiated by the Société Biblique
Française (French Bible Society). It was handed over to United Bible Society in
1992. The project was completed in 1997 and published in 1998 as “Today’s khmer Version”. Copyright © 1998 United Bible Societies. It was an interconfessional version.
Upon request from the protestant churches, a revision was undertaken. A protestant edition was published under the new name: “Khmer Standard version”.
