《漢書》，又稱《前漢書》，是中國第壹部紀傳體斷代史，“二十四史”之壹。由東漢史學家班固編撰，前後歷時二十余年，於建初年中基本修成，後唐朝顏師古為之釋註。其中《漢書》八表由班固之妹班昭補寫而成。《漢書》是繼《史記》之後中國古代又壹部重要史書，與《史記》、《後漢書》、《三國誌》並稱為“前四史”。《漢書》全書主要記述了上起西漢的漢高祖元年（公元前206年），下至新朝王莽地皇四年（公元23年）共229年的史事。《漢書》包括本紀十二篇，表八篇，誌十篇，傳七十篇，共壹百篇，後人劃分為壹百二十卷，全書共八十萬字。
