Women’s Health Foundation (WHF) was founded by Ms. Irene Ndagire, Executive Director, who has an educational background and a wealth of experience in physiotherapy and cardiac rehabilitation. During her 5 years of experience at Kampala International Hospital as a physiotherapist she was exposed to challenges that women go through in their life cycle, which inspired her to create a foundation that would empower women to live a healthier life.
Women’s Health Foundation is driven by the belief that “women have a fundamental right to live without shame and limitations; the more information we provide the more knowledgeable women become, and the greater the chances they have for more opportunities and a better quality of life.” WHF was established to address the gap in quality healthcare for women.
We are passionate and committed to ending what is often a sisterhood of silence by empowering women to join a sisterhood of strength. We are proud to bring communities of women and men together and foster health promotion for the betterment of women.
WHF works in Uganda and is currently operational country wide.

Strategic Objective:
The Overall Objective of WHF is to Promote Women’s wellbeing through a comprehensive community awareness approach to ensure positive social change in the communities.
