The goal is something similar to poker, which is to roll the best hand or in this case a combination of the five dice.

The classic poker dice game is played with 5 dice and two or more players. Each player has a total of 3 rolls and the ability to hold dice in between rolls. The removed dice can then be thrown again for a second or third time. Dice which are set aside to be included in the combination are not to be thrown again.

After the three rolls the best hand wins. Neither a "flush" nor a "straight flush" is a possible hand, due to the lack of suits on the dice.

The hands achieved are similar to poker. The highest hand in a poker dice game is five of a kind, as this is hardest to achieve by chance. Four of a kind, a full house, three of a kind and so on are some of the possible combinations.

In poker dice, the object is to attain a combination of dice that ranks higher than your opponents' combinations. In this simple little poker dice game, your goal is to roll the best possible poker hand.
