Imperial Settlers: Roll & Write is the newest member of the Imperial Settlers board games Family. It is a standalone game set in the universe of popular Portal Games titles Imperial Settlers and Imperial Settlers: Empires of the North. The game is heavily focused on engine building! Constructing buildings will grant you a special bonuses and unlock new levels. With each passing turn the game will offer you more choices as your empire will gain ********.
In the digital version of our board game you start from one settlement. Get enough strength and conquer more and more with your settlers from different fractions to make your Empire grow stronger. 4 ★ Fun, and a good selection of new levels. However there is way too much grinding to open up new levels. I agree there should be a challenge to progress, but this is way too steep. Also it would be nice to have a multiplayer/AI mode.
3 ★ Something was wrong with "Welcome Party" not working. I uninstalled it and It works. Now, after playing the 10th round, it comes back to the town screen saying that I'm on round 10 but nothing is clickable. What am I missing?
5 ★ By far the best roll and write I have ever played! The engine building mechanic helps to remove the luck factor which usually ruins dice-based games for me.
4 ★ App is exceptionally well made and the game really grows on you with successful plays.

4 ★ I love this interpretation of the roll and write game. I like the idea of advancement, but it's a little unclear how to get extra stars. I feel like I'm playing pretty well, but am still only getting one star in each level. The tutorial was also not that helpful. I learned more by just playing more. There are also a few typos, but that's just nitpicky. Overall, great effort!
5 ★ So far, so good. I bought the physical game, but was on the fence to peel through the solo player sheets. Now I don't have to! The game is easy to learn from the app itself. It is purely the solo experience as far as I can tell (I have only played a couple of levels), and I hope multiplayer options will be in its future. But as it is now, it is great.
5 ★ I loved the game, it's a perfect implementation of the physical copy for solo gaming. There's a few bugs that I think it'll be corrected on future releases, like sometimes the dice roll animation is different from the final results. Let me give some suggestions 1. Add multiplayer, pass and play and online (multiplataform, my best friend play on IOs) 2. The Leaderboards should also be for each settlement 3. If you could let us "cheat" to choose the booms in each game it would be awesome. Sometimes I just restart a game when I don't find the boom I wanted :D 4.In the settlement leaderboard, it would be nice if we could see the booms used by the leaders. Thanks a lot for a great game.
5 ★ Nice. I haven't played the phisical version, but it's a good game, and quite challenging. The tutorial is not very good unfortunately, but reading the manual can help. Also, why can't you undo the favor token choice? Btw, when are we getting an Android (or even PC) version of the original Imperial Settlers game? I'm really looking forward to it!
3 ★ Very much like the paper game. There are some things that irritate me though. Why can't I see any of my scores except for the highest score? Why can't I play against an AI? Or another person (pass and play or both of us with the same app)? Hopefully an update is in the works.
4 ★ Good implementation of a great quick game! This will be perfect for having mobile when waiting for things (lines, doctors, etc.) I'd love to see a "house rule" option to enable/disable some of the boons.
4 ★ Great app but please let us choose the Favor token combo - I'm tired of restarting until I get the Ally/Yield combo and it's pointless to play if either one of those is not present. Also, tutorial is horrible. :)

1 ★ Apart from the mediocre gameplay, the cultural appropriation and use of stereotypes is just horribly done. Feng Shui in the Japanese civ? Really? There are just no reason to let this kind of think pass anymore.
