Description
In Maze Machina you play as a tiny hero trapped by the evil Automatron in his ever-changing mechanical labyrinth.
Jailed for the Automatron’s amusement and bound by his electric force, you have to use the tools and tricks that the labyrinth is offering you to overcome it’s endless dangers. Instead of conflict only smart decisions and clever moves will allow you to escape.
Maze Machina combines a simple turn based swipe to move mechanic with a tile based item system that allows for endless combinations of tactical attack, defense and utility moves on a small 4x4 grid. Short game sessions allow for quick bursts of tense gameplay which you can hop in and out of at any point. In various modes and high score challenges you can measure your skill against other players.

5 ★ Very satisfying progression and clever gameplay. Looking at the other reviews, I personally see very good reason for the stamina, and the price seems fair to me, considering how much quality you get for free. Definitely recommend!
4 ★ I've had around 5 hours of gameplay in this. And I'm probably going to uninstall it soon so I was gonna write my experience. The concept and gameplay are original and I like the actions and object in the game. But I sooooo hate the balance of the game. I think the rogue like elements of the game aren't well balanced. It's just a random generated board and sometimes it's stupidly difficult for the first board. I think the movement based actions should be more probable. Music and art is awesome.
1 ★ I donated 1£ since the game was pretty nice. Unfortunately, it's only after few more games that you figure out you need to spend 2£ to unlock the cog storage and have the possibility to fully play it. Honestly, I think this is something that should be advised BEFORE and very CLEARLY. It's not for the money at all, I was even thinking to buy the full fame. It's just the fraud feeling that is very frustrating.
2 ★ I thoroughly enjoyed this game before the update. I had made up my mind to buy the game to support the developer once I beat it once, having made it to room 14/15, but now that half of the things are literally not obtainable unless you pay, I think I'm done with it. Beating it now would be more than just a chore, even after purchasing it I'd have to repetitively collect gears to unlock the game and if I've under correctly it'd make it noticably easier too. Easy way to ruin a good game.
4 ★ Decent rogue like with two major problems that could be easily fixed: 1) The upgrade/workshop button on the restart screen is extremely easy to miss and the glow either needs to be MUCH bigger to catch players' attention or it needs to be a separate button with the word "upgrades" on it. (also the tutorial for this part is very badly worded as I thought I just had to play to unlock stuff) 2) The order of operations when pulling enemies into the mouse is very unclear. I find myself dying a lot.
2 ★ game is unplayable since my mandatory and necessary cover prevents me to make moves "outside" the touchscreen. Make a touch anywhere control!
4 ★ Love this game; graphics are amazing! Very original layout and concept. Only thing is how quickly you lose due to energy loss. Kind of tough when you're still learning to play. Otherwise, PERFECT GAME.
4 ★ Unfortunately the weakest of the Arnold Rauers games, but still enjoyable. It's complex enough to be engaging and enjoyable, but not too complicated for a mobile game. However, card crawl and card thief also has those upsides, and are more fun imo.
3 ★ Love this game but so wish you could choose a difficulty level. It also seems too mean that the opponents can destroy the cheese!
4 ★ Pretty fun game. However ever since the upgrade its been worse: you can't actually activate anything from the Ice on up since it "costs" 27 gears and you're capped at 25 gears max to be held at any point. Fixed a game that wasn't broken.
3 ★ My biggest problem is the poor frame rate in such a simplistic game. I can play huge graphically intense MMO's with ni dips or stutters but this has lag and stutters with every move that I make. Art style and gameplay are great. It's a fun puzzler but the frame rate issue gives me a headache.
5 ★ Deceptively complex and devilishly fun. Captures perfectly the essence of the best roguelites that compels you to play just one more game. Great stuff!
2 ★ Great graphics and concept, but poor game rules and completely random board setups every time make it impossible to progress past the first 6 boards. Chances of success are arbitrary and inconsistent.
1 ★ Needlessly complicated movement. Why swipe instead of tap? Turn & health counters hard to see. Poorly designed mechanics & gameplay, like it was never play-tested.
4 ★ I enjoy the game, but I think all the items overcomplicate it. Love the graphics.
