5 ★ TIP can reselect the 2 colors for your free starter deck before and immed. after first game with it. PROS great way to get back in the game without an investment or convincing friends/wife to play. The tutorials and single player mode are excellent with beautiful art renditions. True to life feel. CONS auto draw cards. Small font. Tiner timer is difficult to pause on 5.2" screen. The app drains at same pace as my fast charger with screen dimmed.
1 ★ This app is horrible about force closing during loading screen. I have been a magic fan for a while and have played several other magic the gathering games. I enjoyed this when it actually let me play but it seems every time I play it force closes. It won't let me use the store at all, it tells me to sign in then I try it will not sign in. It won't load up the decks at all. please fix for higher ratings anyone who enjoys magic I recommend trying shadow Era it has great art and very good all around
5 ★ That appbis really grrat. I love the set up and how it takes you step by step. I love how we can get more information on the card to understand it better. I love magic. This is perfect for beginners and experienced magic players as well! The only downfall, is I'm stuck. I need to add cards to my deck but it force closes and doesn't allow me to forward through the rest of the last tutorial. (This was NOT am issue on my ipad. I've had no issues on that yet. Everything works great.)
3 ★ This is a good game, exactly what you would expect for mtg. Unfortunately, while I only had to pay $10 for the full game on the 360, for some reason it was decided that this version should cost $10 PER LEVEL. I bought the next plane thinking I was purchasing the full game, but apparently not. If you're going to download this, I would suggest playing only the free campaign until the price is lowered to something more reasonable.
4 ★ Playing from the notenot 4. I have to say this game is totally awesome! I've never played magic before (I knew about it though) and now I've got this game, and I can see why my brothers played it, why there's tournaments. It's challenging, fun, and addictive. The only reason I left off one star is because it doesn't keep ur screen awake and my screen went black during my opponents turn
2 ★ Not clear up front what you're getting for free vs what you're expected to buy, uninstalling now due to that. Deck management has potential, but controls are poor on large phone, eg you can't filter your current deck; and can't cycle through cards while zoomed in, or just zoom in screen a bit in general, I'd rather scroll whole thing a small bit. Stop timer button needs to be away from other controls. In fact all controls are too close together. Otherwise, all good.
4 ★ (Note 3) A bit slow, not laggy, the animations are slow. The text and buttons are quite small. Cards you start with force 3+ colored decks. That being said. They did a great job pulling off a very large and visually pleasing game like this for mobile. Very playable. And a hell of a lot cheaper than actual Magic. Looking forward to mobile MTGO.
5 ★ Despite the huge size this game is near perfect. I have just three complaint/suggestions. The buttons for skip, continue etc should be a bit bigger. Card sizes should be a little bigger, allowing to see some of the specs without zooming in. And I wich to have the ability to share this game through a different profile. And a way to exchange cards and decks between us. Like we do in live card games. But is indeed an amazing game that helped me quickly to learn again Magic the gathering.
5 ★ My son is kinda nerdy, not sports oriented at all. So I've been looking for something he and I can share together and through the tutorial I decided this game would be a great bridge for us to spend time playing. The demo is great, taught me and my son how to play, and now we'll begin building actual decks and playing together. I do think the developers should list this as a demo though and not as a full game. I'd rather spend my money building my and my son's actual decks than on this game for practice.
5 ★ I admit, this game didn't look very promising at first, and I only got it after getting Hearthstone since they are both card games, in the end though, does this game deliver? The answer is yes. This game takes some getting used to but once you learn the ropes it is very, very fun. Some people seem to be experiencing bugs. Me? I am on a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and haven't had any. Have fun Planeswalkers!
5 ★ Been playing for several weeks and having a blast. I forgot how much I enjoyed playing MTG, and this had made it very accessible. The interface is great, although in a 4-way match it can be a little difficult to select an individual creature to target. I would recommend adding a pinch-to-zoom feature to see and select cards more easily. Even then, it is absolutely worth paying to unlock the main campaign.
4 ★ Great game. Only issue is it won't let me use any features i have to log in for. I am logged in but says I'm not. if I use the pop up notifications and the upper left option for logging in, it just takes me back to screen I'm on and continues to bar access. I uninstalled and same issue. I recommended others and got two to play with me, but I wish I could access the full game. otherwise great graphics and mechanics. and excellent tutorials for learning how to play just like the real game. Highly recommend. 4/5 stars. 5 stars if they can give me access.
4 ★ It has several issues. It will kick you out of games. Sometimes it completely quits while trying to create a deck, go through the card collection, or just at random. When it does work it is quiet entertaining. Fix the issues and will improve star rating. Bought the full game which is 10 bucks. I like MTG so I don't mind the price. The 2G install is way too hefty!
2 ★ Good game but your gonna need a hefty credit card. Anything you do in this game other than the tutorial and a couple beginner games costs money. Wanna play milti player? Pay up. Want some good cards? Get your wallet. Wanna play solo? Spend money. Wanna do anything beyond the first day? Pay, pay, pay. I think im going back to hearth stone because i cant afford to spend so much money on a cell phone game.
3 ★ It's a good effort, I get to enjoy Magic on my phone so I can't moan too much. The animations and the graphics are beautiful and impressive -- but they do come at a significant cost of play time time, storage space and battery life(!). In fact playing this game for about an hour depletes my phone (Nexus 5). It consumes an enormous amount of power it seems, and plus for online features you should be on WiFi so it's a game to enjoy at home, and not for commuting.
