Description
Gloomhaven Helper eliminates the need for the following Gloomhaven components:
• monster ability card decks
• monster stat sheets and sleeves
• the monster attack modifier deck
• monster damage tokens
• monster and player condition tokens
• the element infusion board, element discs, and round tracker
• player HP/XP dials
• character boards
Besides making setup easier, Gloomhaven Helper also improves play in many new ways:
• Devices running the app can be synchronized over the network so each player can view and change the game state from their own personal device.
• Rows are sorted using the initiative order, making it clear who is next.
• Monster abilities report the numbers to use, reducing stat lookup (Range 3 instead of Range -1).
• When a monster is flying, the monster ability card shows the "flying wings" icon for movement rather than the usual "boot".
• Monsters can be marked as "summoned" so you know they should not drop a coin when they die.
• Monster stats are hidden until the monster appears.
• Tracking element infusions prevents forgeting to move the element down.
• Player current and max HP is easily visible to all players.

5 ★ I hope its has bigger text and interface on small screen.
5 ★ This must-have app makes the Gloomhaven experience much more streamlined so you can focus on playing the game instead of trying to keep track of dozens of variables using cardboard tokens. The developer is a Gloomhaven player, and he really put a lot of thought into the UI of the app. It takes away all the drudgery of tracking stats without detracting from the tabletop experience. Get your Android tablet and set it on the table next to your map and let the app do all the bookkeeping for you!
4 ★ Playing Jaws of the Lion. The vast majority of the experience has been great. The client/server system works well between Android and PC. There's a discrepancy between the app and the rules regarding monster action cards. "Abilities are what make up an action, which may consist of a single ability or multiple abilities. In the case of the ladder each individual ability action will be separated by an ability card line." Our physical cards have these lines but the app doesn't. This confused us.
4 ★ This is a very helpful app that makes your game faster and more enjoyable by eliminating much card handling and administration, letting you focus on tactics. However, I wish it also provided a way to mark which monsters of the same type have taken their turn! That is sometimes hard to remember if you're tired or there are lots of monsters on the board.
5 ★ This made my experience with Gloomhaven: Jaws of the Lion go from a 6.5 to a 9! I was able to remove a lot of fiddly cards and components from the game and replaced it all with this amazing app! I highly recommend this app! I purchased the removal of ads after a couple of plays, once I realized that I will never play without it again. Support the devs.
5 ★ I don't rate apps often but this one I had too. It took a total of 2 times to use this app before I realized how much of a convenience it made Gllomhaven life. It eliminates the need to track rounds, elements, lay out all of the enemy cards with attack deck, damage and health, status effects, and turn order. My set up time has gone from 10 minutes to just a few. I learned through trial and error on how to use the app because it can be confusing. Read the documentation tab to learn "how to".
5 ★ A fabulous resource that saves a lot of time and clears up a lot of confusion! I have a couple suggestions, though. I agree with other reviews on here that there should be an option to have the monster ability title show. It really livened up the game to have them on the physical cards, and I've grown to miss them. It would also be great to be able to adjust the size of condition icons, as it's quite easy to miss them when playing. Thanks for your work on this free resource, it's great!
5 ★ Normally one of my favorite parts of tabletop gaming is the physical aspect. Moving pieces, shuffling decks, that sort of thing. I was a bit skeptical about using an app like this to run Gloomhaven at first, but it's just SO convenient. It saves ages on setup and admin. I honestly can't imagine playing without it now.
5 ★ App looks great and I've played fewer than 5 scenarios of Gloomhaven so I apologize if my below question has an obvious answer. Why don't the correct number of each monster type get auto-generated when setting up a campaign scenario? The number of players participating in the campaign is known, as are the monster types and scenario level. Why not auto spawn the monsters in the first room?
5 ★ The Developer's responses to 1-star reviews were reason enough for me to pay for the app. Also, the app is great - clean and responsive UI, with options to scale what is displayed to match your play preferences. Useful for noob and veteran alike. Grood job.
5 ★ I got this app to help with management for Jaws of the Lion and I won't be playing Gloomhaven without it. It keeps track of all the elements, monster behaviors, and character conditions (the paperwork part) so I can focus on playing my character, not if I remembered to wane elements or reshuffle the monster initiative cards. After three games, I decided to buy for the fee and drop this review. Since the author added Jaws to the app, I only hope that Frosthaven may come too.
5 ★ During the pandemic my party turned to Tabletop Simulator to get out fix and we played without this app. What. A. Horror! This app is everything for Gloomhaven, I would never play without it if I had a choice.
5 ★ This is a must have app if you play Gloomhaven. Easy to use, very customizable. I was just wondering though if it were possible to make it that the monsters action cards could be hidden until it is their turn to go. This would give an element of suprise and more immersiveness not knowing what's going to happen. Thank you so much!
1 ★ I uninstalled when the first thing im greeted with is a box that is hard to read on my S10E. Many recommend this app but when the very first thing is a small box with smaller print you have to click through first it shows me there really isn't a care here for the user experience and im better of doing things manually
5 ★ Absolute God-send. Saves tons of time and effort for setup, play, and breakdown, and the net code works crazy well. If you play Gloomhaven, you need this.
