Description
Original This War of Mine, one of the most successful indie titles of the last decade, provides an experience of war seen from an entirely new angle - that of civilians. Father's Promise is a standalone story-driven tale set in the universe of the original game.
It tells a story of family's struggle to preserve the last pieces of humanity in times of despair and cruelty. Become Adam - a father trying to save his daughter from the horrors of war and escape the besieged city. Follow their steps and discover a story of love, hate and sacrifice - the emotions we all share in the darkest of days.

1 ★ Very disappointed in how short the game play is, considering i payed just under 3 pound for this?! I loved the first game but this story is just that.... A story. Making your house is pointless because once you 'save' the child thats it....... Bullsh*#!!! Refund would be nice but apparently it isnt supported?!?!
5 ★ The story was super amazing with the unexpected plot twist. Its even more harder than the original as you only got one guy and you cannot guard the shelter often, making it more challenging makes it more fun. I honestly liked it more than the original. Whoever the rated this game poorly just because the story is short or they don't understand the lore of the game or the reason why you cannot explore in the daytime is stupid. Don't listen to them. Short but so what? Quality matters more!
3 ★ I was hoping for atleast a little more to a story than that.. it was an amazing playthrough. I really felt like I was in a story and not just trying to survive. It made the experience feel a little more alive.
5 ★ Played the original, loved that. This one is a singular short story (game days, about 21- finished in real life in about 3 sittings but could easily complete start to finish in 1). If you liked the original, you'll enjoy it. Free with Google Pass, but I'd have been content paying the $3 for it.
4 ★ Very short and easy if you have already finished original This War of Mine. Needs more content.
2 ★ I'm sure the story is good you'll just be hard pressed to read any of it, the merchants are as greedy as it gets, trade everything and its still not enough, i can't stay alive long enough to find food for myself, and it seems like you have to wait the next day just to go somewhere, waste of time. Definitely a game I would love to play if it was a little more intuitive.
1 ★ I did not figure out how to control the game, my gamepad was not helpful...I dont know why but the game seemed unresponsive to my gamepad and only did a very few things I clicked on with my mouse and screen... I got bored and gave up on it.
3 ★ Decent story and gameplay however if i had paid the actual 3 bucks I'd be disappointed for how short it was, little more than an hour. Luckily it was a part of the google pass, so i got to enjoy it.
5 ★ Even though this is the only special story for This War of Mine, it's definitely the best story-line of the whole game(s), highly recommend both games, can't wait for the next story!
3 ★ this wasn't as good as the original... it's add on content... but it forced me into the outcome which i did not like. i know the creators are trying to get the point across but i think it could have been one of the possible endings. i am still playing the original to this day. you guys should adapt this to apocalyptic world n make it into new game. i would pay to play!
5 ★ At first, I thought there're some of stories here, with different characters. But nope, only one story and a bit short. And on this version, you only controling one character, when he sleeps, you don't know what to do. Much better if there're some characters like the original version. But this game worth to try.
4 ★ This version is a lot more story driven as opposed to the somewhat dynamic nature of gameplay in the main TWoM. Replaying the game (mid-game) ends up with exactly the same story given its plotline. Should have at least kept the slavic names. The western sounding names doesn't feel right. Intriguing but not exactly for endless hours of gaming. I uninstalled after completing twice. I feel a bit disappointed but I dont regret buying it either.
5 ★ Great story! It kept me on edge the whole time. I love how this is set up as more than just survival. It felt like an actual console video game.
3 ★ One story, and no more? Hmmm... Okay game (3/5). But the original game have better gameplay (longest, with small event on scavenging)
2 ★ really is a good game, what makes it loose all the points is that is so short. i finished the first story in less than 2 hours and then discovered there is nothing else to the game. no replay value whatsoever since that story is not long enough to try different routes. this should be a dlc or include more stories to be worth it
