5 ★ Love the fact that they keep adding new material and not just forgetting about the game. Some games you have everything and nothing new ever comes out. This one keeps on giving. Keep up the great work.
1 ★ With the latest update the game locks up at "Loading Profile". It waits a moment then I get a message about the app stopped and if I should force close. This is a joke
4 ★ Overall a fun F2P match 3 with fair progression. However the newest update took my ability to deck edit away. And when that came back the game refuses to load its assets
5 ★ An interesting mash of MTG combat and tile matching. Fast-paced, but you can take your time, unlike Arena. Combat is a lot like Spectromancer.
2 ★ App constantly gets stuck on loading data now when trying to login. I've already tried clearing cache and reinstalling, several times now to no avail. Tried subscribing for first time this last week and now this is interfering with trying to get daily login bonuses, as well as being able to play events for rewards. What's going on? :/ Great game otherwise when I can get it to actually play, fun mechanics worry of a 5 star but this is frustrating
5 ★ Hi D3, Thank you for fixing the issue with Bontu so quickly! The filter text still shows in team chat. Also, is it possible to zoom the text on cards the same way we zoom on the artwork?
4 ★ Great way to further Immerse yourself into the MTG community! Decent Animations and rule set to keep you crushing mana! Last but not least, the idea of the game while incorporating so many aspects of the card game itself is balanced just right! I feel like I'm playing MTG while it is actually a lot different! Pretty much in a nutshell. It's MTG with all sorts of new stuff to poke around with! Enjoy!
4 ★ Been playing daily for years, a fine match3 with a quirk... I like the fact that you need to play with decks, use the match3 as mana. Regular updates with new card sets, regular events to earn xp/cards. No P2W, you can unlock things without paying. You can win matches with basic decks, just know what to pick. Update: Reported a small problem in detail to support, still unclear why I sometimes need to reinstall to be able to play events. Will send screens when it happens again..
2 ★ Addictive, in the way they are; surely impossible for folks who don't know Magic the Gathering. So many ways to spend a lot of money and progress that doesn't really get you anywhere in the long run - it's a convoluted matching game.
5 ★ I love this game and have been playing it off and on for years. When I got a new phone, I was able to start the game over and build it better. I also knew enough to stay below platinum tier as long as possible to maximize fun over frustration. My advice is to save your crystals to buy the most fun planeswalkers (watch Balthazar on YouTube). You do not have to pay to win if you're patient, but I don't mind buying a special card from time to time.
5 ★ Fun, not a total cash grab. Weekly events are good. Stability can be rough after a major update, but it always vastly improves over time, which means the devs are constantly working. My only minor complaint is that the reward structure is a little rough. You either have to get a perfect score on events or the rewards are heavily diminished.
1 ★ Game won't even open beyond the loading screen. I've tried uninstall/reinstall, clear cache, restarted my phone, and nothing happens. EDIT. I can now get into the game but everything I had previously purchased is gone, and it makes me play the tutorial and start all over everytime I open the app. So I lost any money I spent and appears the same way everytime I open the app. I've been in contact with support.
5 ★ Great mix of match-3 and TCG. Even feels a lot like paper Magic. Love this game!
1 ★ I hate this game. It's repetitive, and boring, and MTG fans will agree with me. This game throws the Origins forms of the Gatewatch at you and expects you to just be happy with that for the rest of your life, UNLESS you wanna spend money on their idiotically built game, then you can maybe choose the Planeswalker you actually want to use by spending money and buying them. Frankly I'd still be complaining about many more things wrong with this game if the character limit on the review was higher.
4 ★ Of the two puzzle quest style games I play (marvel being the other), this one has the edge. Here, you can play and have fun, and not feel like you're being beat over the head with prompts to buy something. The new content rolls in smoothly, and you can spend $ to own it now, or you can wait with legit chances to pick up the good stuff over time. The biggest detractor is the guilds (groups) and their events, mostly because the MtG Quest community isn't very good.
