Description
With the Chessboard app you can:
-- play chess with a friend
-- play with a chess clock (which can be paused)
-- create a custom setup to a game
-- save an unlimited amount of games
-- export games in PGN format
Chessboard is meant to be played with two players. It's a free two player chess game app, but can also be used on your own to play yourself and train yourself. You can save chess openings to train on them later. That way, you'll be prepared for the next 2 player game, on our free app or anywhere else.
After you've saved a game you can export it in PGN format, so that it can be read by any chess software out there, since PGN is widely regarded as the standard for chess software. Play games, save games share games!
In short: Chessboard is the virtual chess board for you! So invite your friend over and start playing! Play chess with this local multiplayer app!

5 ★ Exactly what I was looking for. 2 Players. Single board, face to face. Save. Export. Nice visually. Can change angle of view of the men. Thank you. One idea ... Overhead view of pieces and pawns, like coins or symbols so they look the same from either white or black side of the board. Thank you for the excellent product.

Just should add a 1 player AI mode, I like chess, and when people are tired of being spanked I have to open a different app, although I do understand that the whole idea of it is that it is a digital chess board. So I'm torn, because it would be all in one with AI, although it would defeat its uniqueness. So I'll just respect your decision to not have it. Perhaps a one player separate app? I'd download it just because your the only one to make an app like this. Cool beans, thank you from all us chessboard lovers. Maybe some graphics choices...? I'll stay tuned!
3 ★ Good in many respects, but unfortunately doesn't work for my use case. I need a virtual chessboard to play out moves from books for learning chess. This either has a view where Black pieces are upside-down, or one where the board jumps back and forth between White & Black, both of which look completely weird for my purpose. BADLY NEEDS AN OPTION FOR A STANDARD CHESS BOARD VIEW!
4 ★ The ONLY major problem I have with this app, is that it crashes when I try to export a PGN file. But other than that, this is the PERFECT local PvP Chess app! You can either play a normal game of Chess, or spice things up with the custom setting. Whether you want to setup for a sticky situation, or just fill the ENTIRE board with pieces, this is the perfect app for playing Chess against a friend.
5 ★ Exactly what we were looking for .In the absence of a physical chessboard, this comes close to a real board. Can be played offline so no hassle about ads. A simple two player game.
5 ★ the game is almost perfect for starters you can play chess anywhere you want and it has options to show moves for beginers and an option not to for advanced players it has an option to play anone for the #foreveralone and 2 players who want to play but i think it should have an option to face a computer though
1 ★ the pieces don't drop down onto the squares properly when you move them, this is the most basic requirement for 2 player human chess, which is what I wanted, waste of time :o(

1 ★ User interface is terrible, can't even move the chess pieces where I want them to be at all. Tried it with 3 other friends so I know it's not me, just a garbage app. I can't chess under these conditions. :(
