2 ★ After a year of playing this is getting worse - the keyboard is incredibly laggy and unresponsive, it would be better to use the built in keyboard as it really slows us down. 2) the game seems to have become more American over the time we've played it. It used to be enjoyable and the ads don't seem intrusive, but I'm looking for alternatives as the Devs don't seem interested in fixing the issues.
3 ★ Originally thought that this was an excellent UK English crossword. And in some respect it is, functionally, but some of the abbreviations used in some of the clues do not make sense. E.g. "mo" on some planets is short for month. That was a recent example. The puzzle itself appears to work well and the graphics are clear. Just the clues are irritating sometimes.
2 ★ Finally after 3 years of playing this app I've had all I can take off the crappy keyboard! It was fine about 2 years ago before the developers downgraded it to a sluggish, laggy, and very buggy affair, horrid to use, and was 'lorded' by developers as a great upgrade! (laughable) . Upgraded my phone to something much faster, yet performs even worse. You can start typing in one clue and then it randomly jumps to another whilst typing!! Very counter productive and frustrating! = UNINSTALLED 😖
5 ★ This is a great little puzzle game. I do the daily crossword every day -- its fun and helps keep me sharp. I give the game 5 stars. I don't know what "rate the controls" or "rate the gameplay" means as opposed to rating the game.
1 ★ Ads crash the game. I'll watch a whole ad to be able to do a puzzle, then when it is over the whole app crashes and I have to reload it, and usually watch an ad again.
5 ★ I have tried it crossword apps and until now have stopped using them for one reason or another including not being British English, not much choice etc. This one I had no hesitation of quickly switching to the paid version. Great app, plenty of crosswords to choose from and challenging.
5 ★ Great game, I love the daily challenge when having a cuppa, it starts my day off nicely by waking my brain up in a gentle manner. Keeps the brain working in a nice way. It's in UK English because I'm fed up of USA spelling in crosswords. Really recommend this game.
5 ★ Good number of puzzles. Language not Americanised too. Time lapse earnining of points (flag) system to play puzzles a little frustrating, but watching ads alleviates, although that isn't explained well.
3 ★ Love the puzzles. The keyboard lags a LOT. letters take time to appear on the screen. i only face this problem on your app. possibly a bug you can fix..
5 ★ Fun game--which is what games are supposed to be. Ads are short and nonintrusive. Easy to learn and use. A 5-star game for sure.
4 ★ Very good overall. Keypad is bit of a letdown. Too few puzzles for a day (should be six). The solution times for free puzzles should also be available to see.
5 ★ love this game easy to type in words, hints work great and i love the scoring. I'm addicted to being in the top 10% and cant put it down til I score above 90 !
1 ★ terrible keyboard. If they fix the keyboard the game would be okay. just downloaded it, and tried to play one game but keyboard would not work.
3 ★ Good selection of crosswords but none are particularly demanding; no cryptics. Also, I found the keypad unresponsive and the animations irritating.
2 ★ Not British style at all. Some of the answers make absolutely no sense to the clue. Not sure if it's trying to be a quick crossword puzzle or a cryptic one. Don't be both. That doesn't work.
