Description
Set in modern-day Sweden, Mage: Refuge lets you experience today's social and political upheavals while awakening to the power of True Magick - the ability to shape reality itself through your force of belief. Many will try to recruit you into a secret war where human consensus itself is the battlefield. Your actions and choices will have profound consequences on the world and people around you... assuming madness and Paradox doesn't claim you first.

4 ★ Fun story so far very immersive... until you're called Julia. For a while I there was nothing really specific about the the main character to break my projections on to the main character. It was me, except I was in Sweden. I wish I was given the option to enter in my name and gender. Which would've been just a string and int variable.
2 ★ Long time WoD fan and Mage is one of the few I haven't really explored. This does NOT feel friendly to people not familiar with mage. It felt disjointed, way too esoteric to give you any sense of the game or even the setting since everything just kind of happens. No guidance or assistance, and no explanations when you've finished doing something. Maybe it works for established Mage fans? But I think I'll stick with Vampire and Changeling based on this introduction.
3 ★ Excellent concept of a game. The diversity of the story was minimal however and it focuses on a core assumption that letting refugees into Sweden is aligned with 'good' and good for you in the story. There was little decernable character development such as choosing your magical path or learning to cast spells. It was also far to short and ended just as it was starting to get interesting. Needs more work but overall an interesting game concept that should be developed a lot more.
5 ★ Seriously awesome game. Brought me right back to my days playing Mage, Vampire or Changeling table top. This game was really immersive. I really hope they make more. Especially one for Changeling. Please make more of these.
2 ★ I liked vampire story a lot and checked out this one. Disappointed too short no idea what the story was. Didn't feel engaged at all.
2 ★ This was really disappointing. Mage (and the WoD as a whole) has so much lore and potential, yet this came opts for presenting a rushed, unimmersive, nonsensical story with unrelatable characters and skin-deep depictions of too many factions. There are good ideas here - especially the really uncomfortable relationship with a certain character - but that's all. Everything feels stunted and unfinished. Aesthetics could be better, music is ok.
4 ★ When I died, it didn't let me read the last paragraph before transitioning to the death screen so I don't even know what happened. Apart from that, it's a pretty good text based intro to mage
1 ★ I played for about 5 minutes, the entire time a massive pink block made me constantly adjust the text so I could read it. No. That's not how a text adventure works. Waste of 5 dollars.
2 ★ Awesome presentation, but terrible story. Seems more like a political screed than a tale worth telling.
5 ★ This was great. I loved this theme and its execution. This is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Would absolutely love to see more Mage the Awakening based games.
4 ★ I enjoyed the game and story, but it was too short! I hope more stories are coming, especially with more details and length.
3 ★ Short, and the impacts of your choices are not always clear. Interesting story, though definitely mature.
5 ★ All I wish is that there were more of it. I'd like to see new content, even if it's an in app purchase.
1 ★ Severe graphics distortion far more annoying than atmospheric, far too short.
2 ★ Extremely linear. Press "continue" to see the next blurb of text, dripping app independently of your actions. Could have been a fanfiction, in a handful pages.
