Download the latest Pente application, version 1.5, compatible with Windows 10/11 (using emulators such as Bluestacks), Android devices. This free Board app is developed by Joseph Carrick and is easy to download and install.
Previous versions, including 1.5, are also available. If you need help or have any problems, please let us know.
Description
Other variations of Pente included in this app are Keryo-Pente, No Captures, and Five-In-A-Row. Instructions for each style of gameplay are also included.
TIP: Press and move your finger around the board for finer piece placement control.

4 ★ Simple and easy to understand gameplay. Difficult to master completely. There is a bug however. I cannot place a stone on the very left edge of Quadrants II and III. The very top edge, bottom, and right sides work fine but the left does not. The stone dissapears for some reason.
1 ★ Its fun but lacks support for edge of screen play on s10 curved screens.
2 ★ PLEASE FIX THIS GAME! Pente is a beautiful and ancient game that can be easier than checkers and trickier than chess. This app DOES NOT work on Samsung devices. It would be great if it would. It would also be nice if you bothered to update it. Different color options would be wonderful. I miss this game.
1 ★ Nearly unplayable. Doesn't register piece placements well. Otherwise it looks nice. But just going to uninstall it.
1 ★ AI placed my move once different than I chose. I noticed AI declared himself a winner and cleared the board so fast I couldn't see how AI won. BUT, at the end of the game AI did it again and didn't clear the board. I saw not only no AI win, there were no pieces missing nor an AI win. At the same time I had lined up four in a row he couldn't block thus I won if he had played out. AI had none more than two in a row, no possible way AI won. Writer of this game is s cheat. Do not play!!!!
2 ★ Even when playing tournament rules, defense is extremely weak on Standard. I can beat it every single time. No challenge at all.
1 ★ Does not display properly in Android 11.
3 ★ There are ghosts in this app. In the middle of games it flips off of the game and back to the start screen. You can't get back where you were and you have to start over. Very frustrating.
4 ★ fun for all ages, easy to use. wish could change the board bckground/theme and the back button doesnt work but overall great pente!
5 ★ I love this game I love this app! Wish I could change the difficulty of the AI though and it would be cool if there were more color options
2 ★ AI regularly plays the legal spaces along the perimeter, but will not let the player make the same move.
