Description
In Pro Football Coach, you take the role of a newly hired coach/general manager at the team of your choice. Your goal is to win the Championship, and you will stop at nothing to do so. You can even compete online against other teams!
Your team will play 16 games in the regular season, just like real professional football leagues. By navigating to the "GAMES" tab, you can see exactly what your team's schedule is. And by clicking on each game, you can see a scouting report of the two teams (if the game has yet to be played), or a summary of the game (if it was already played).
At the end of the regular season, playoffs begin! Each division winner is guaranteed a playoff spot, with 2 wildcard teams from each conference as well.
When you first inherit a team, you will have a total of 46 players (22 starters) on your roster. When you first inherit a team, you will have at least 46 players (22 starters) on your roster. Each player has a name, their age, an Overall rating, Potential rating, Durability rating, Football IQ rating, and three position specific ratings. The Overall rating is just a composite rating of the three position specific ones, while Potential determines how much each player improves during the offseason. Durability determines how likely a player is to be injured, and Football IQ is a measure of how football smart the player is. Smarter teams perform better on the field, and Quarterbacks and Safeties especially benefit from a higher Football IQ. Each player also has a contract, which is determined by their position and how good they are.You can view all of these players in the "ROSTER" tab, which will include:
2 QBs (1 starter): Quarterbacks, responsible for throwing passes to wide receivers.
4 RBs (2 starters): Running Backs, who run up and down the field.
6 WRs (3 starters): Wide Receivers, who catch passes for yards and TDs.
10 OLs (5 starters): Offensive Line, responsible for protecting the quarterback.
2 Ks (1 starter): Kicker, responsible for kicking extra points and field goals.
2 Ss (1 starter): Safety, responsible for covering opposing wide receivers and causing interceptions.
6 CBs (3 starters): Cornerback, responsible for covering wide receivers to deny them the ball.
8 DLs (4 starters): Defensive Line, responsible for stopping the run and putting pressure on the quarterback.
6 LBs (3 starters): Linebacker, responsible for tackling opposing RBs and sometimes covering WRs.
In Pro Football Coach, teams can trade with one another just like real life professional football leagues. If you wish to trade some of your players or picks, add them to the trading block by clicking "TRADE" or holding down on their name. Then click "View Offers" on the trade tab to see what offers the other 31 teams in the league will give for your trade pieces. If you wish to trade for a particular player or draft pick from another team, then go to that teams roster and add the player/pick to their trading block. Then click "View Offers" to see what the team wants from you for the players or picks you added. Contracts are not taken into account during trading for simplicity, but taking on big contracts may prevent you from signing more free agents in the offseason.
As a coach, you can pick what strategy your team employs on offense and defense as they play through their season. By default both strategies are set to "No Preference", meaning there are no bonuses or penalties either way. But you can change your strategy at any time, with options like Aggressive or Conservative for offense, and No Fly Zone or Stack the Box for defense.

5 ★ I have been stuck playing this game for weeks. It's fun simulating seasons and building up a dynasty, just like in Madden. My only complaints is that you can't see stats for you defensive players (sacks, INTS) and also it would be nice to have a player career stats page, where you can see the season stats for the players career. Other than that, this game is addicting. Will continue to play. Highly recommend for Madden franchise junkies.
5 ★ This is an amazing app. But the thing that would make it evan better is more in depth stats like passer rating, completions/attempts, tackles, forced fumbles, and interceptions. Also stats from every season saved on the player card. And one last thing it would be helpful to see players you could draft while in the season.
1 ★ Disappointing. It would've been great if we could see the games being played, and, as coaches, choose the plays each down. As it is, it's like reading about games you didn't watch. You get to choose players, but then, one push and the game is over. Your coaching job doesn't involve picking the right plays that could help you win.
5 ★ Great game! Would love to see something like college hoops coach where you can see how many wins and losses you've gotten the entire career, total number of championship wins, win percentage. Great game all and all but that would make this game perfect!
3 ★ Honestly I like the idea of this app, I just feel it could be fleshed out a lot better. And seriously there are some ridiculously terrible contracts in this game. No way a QB with a 76 rating should be getting 30 million.
4 ★ I've played about 200 seasons so far, so I have a pretty good grasp of the simulation. There are some aspects I enjoy a lot, and there are some features I'd like addressed. First, I like the layout and overall operation. It's simple, yet doesn't get boring rapidly. It's a challenge to keep a good franchise and it is fun overall. Now, player progression is too much random gain/loss with seemingly little impact from potential rating/playing time & the trade machine is broken and one sided, badly.
5 ★ Love this game. Great stats and can speed through a season of you want to. Only drawback is there could be more madness in the database to avoid repeats.
4 ★ Really like the game it is a lot of fun as a football manager type gameplay. I would prefer if the salary cap actually did something for the opponents. I am on season 2037 and all the teams are 10 million dollars or more over the cap. They are now way beyond my talent level. You are not allowed to sign free agents to go over cap but there are teams 25 million over. So the salary cap only penalizes you.
5 ★ Very enjoyable sim. One of the best I've played. Love how in-depth the stats are Main problem is how player centric it is. Played over 800 years and only have about 12 losing seasons at most. Even when I have a bad QB they're able to put up great numbers. Also wish the game could get updated but ah well, gonna try the other ones. Thanks for the experience :)
5 ★ Awesome game i had a qb win 10 super bowls and 10 mvps i drafted him as a 96 ovr with a+ potential he also had 10 all pros and MVP's but can you make it to where on trades its like madden cause when you ask for a 1st round pick sometimes they want your star player
2 ★ I would give this a 5/5. But I think there's a bug for me when I advance to the offseason. When I press "Advance to Offseason", the app stops, and it doesn't work from there no matter how many times I try. I'll keep the app, but please help me with this. Thanks, and I love this game by the way
4 ★ It's minimal but entertaining. Seasons can last less than ten minutes so it's not boring and it's a great time waster. IMO though, some things could be added/edited, like: - adding the TE role (instead of 2 RBs, maybe) - enhancing the CPU by making them choose tactics for each game - adding stats for defensive players - adding the possibility to choose between different packages both on offense and defense - balancing the trade block a little (asking for a QB/S in exchange for a K, really?)

4 ★ Addictive game. Love building a team, only issue is the trades are awful. Only offers you get for a top player is they'll give up there QB, of that also want your 1st
3 ★ The game is definitely fun, but there is an issue. Not a bug or anything, but I wish there was more variety. I wish you could switch teams, or make your own custom team. It would be so much more fun if they did the first option, but the latter is still a decent idea. Would like to see the ability for you or other coaches to be fired for not meeting objectives. Introduction to objectives could make the game have purpose, and seeing these changes could make this a really fun, and challenging game
