Description

Gravity Pull is an immersive VR puzzle game for Google Cardboard and Daydream that was inspired by other first-person puzzle games. Solve 16 mind-bending physical puzzles by strategically placing cubes on switches to open doors. You'll need to carefully explore each room and view things from multiple angles. Can you get to the end? Gravity Pull uses an innovative input technique that lets you navigate each room using walking-in-place and puts YOU in control of where you are. No controller required and various studies have found walking-in-place to minimize cybersickness.

We highly recommend having a Cardboard V2, which is any headset that has the capacitive touch button. The Cardboard V1's magnet switch IS supported, but may not work consistently. Joysticks should work automatically with the game if you would rather use them instead of walking-in-place. By default, you will only move forwards and backwards with the joystick (to combat nausea), but there is an option in the settings menu (tilt to allow for full joystick movement.

Positional tracking enables highly immersive experiences on PC VR platforms (Vive/Oculus), such as walking input, but this isn’t available on mobile VR platforms, with as a result that many mobile VR apps are simple look-and-see or rollercoaster experiences. Gravity Pull was built using the VR-Step plugin (see Unity Asset store https://www.assetstore.unity3d.com/en/#!/content/60450) (patent pending). VR-step significantly increases existing interaction options of mobile VR platforms (Daydream, Gear VR, Cardboard) and lets you build highly immersive experiences that are usually only found on PC VR platforms.

1 ★ Dead from the word go. Moving in place does NOT work. Shame. A walking and physically moving pieces of a puzzle concept was GOLD. shame you couldn't get basic movement down

5 ★ Its a good game but it has some glitches it was like playing portal but its real i have vr and it was good so that is why i give 5 stars

5 ★ Considering that I'm willing to give it a 5 star rating after about an hour of play, the game play and mechanics are very tight. The puzzles offer increased complexity at a reasonable rate without overwhelming the player. The walk in place mechanic is okay, but I had to do squats for it to recognize my motion. It also has a tendency to over-react, which has put me off a ledge a few times. Given that I don't know anything about the developer, I'd have to say that the mechanic is in beta-state. Great concept that functions, but could be tighter or more responsive. The visuals are simple but beautiful, and immersion is so good that I had to reorient myself to the room I was in.

4 ★ This is a pretty awesome experience. Even though it's not required, I do have a BT controller, which does make it easier. My only complaint is that the button used to pull blocks and levers does not activate the menu or select menu options. That would make a lot of sense to me, since you're looking at something specific to interact with it anyway.

5 ★ Fantastic little game!! Just like your inspiration, Portal, the major criticism of this game is that it is short. But for a free game it's a great demonstration of the technology and like Portal slowly walks you through the mechanics of the game. I found the walking mechanic a little clunky at times, often going backwards when I wanted to go forwards, but when turning on movement with the daydream controller I started to feel the slight effect of motion sickness. I'd definitely be willing to pay for a longer version of this game

5 ★ Great VR experience! Would love to play more levels!

2 ★ Running in place mechanic didn't work for me, taking lots of effort to register and then sliding forward after I stop. This made it too nauseating to play for very long. Also, it says full daydream controller support, but it seems to just mean the button - you still move the cursor and items via gaze, like a Cardboard app. It looks nice, and I am still eager to see what the dev does next.

5 ★ Have you ever wanted something like the game "Portal" in VR? Well, this is the best you will get. You basically use a bluetooth controller to pick up those weighted cubes (That look very similar to the ones in Portal) and put them on the buttons. I love how that in order to get around, you have to walk in place. This is an interesting puzzle game. Plus, you can even remap the controls! I cannot think of ANY complaints! 10/10. 😄

1 ★ IT SUCKS it says no controller required but you can't "click" anything if it is in your headset it is stupid

4 ★ Very fun, you don't need a controller to play and in my opinion, it's the best free VR puzzle game

5 ★ To start; I LOVED THIS GAME! Every new gimmick the game would throw at me would work so well with the other gameplay elements (EX: The box and the Glass). Also, the puzzles were GENIUS (spoiler alert from here). For example, there was a puzzle where I had to stand on a switch while I put a block next to a piston, and when I got bbn off, it would slowly push the box on a button giving me enough time to get on the lift! The only bad thing about the game is that it wasn't comparable w/ my Gear. :/

3 ★ It was a great concept, but the running in place along with the VR made me extremely nauseous.

5 ★ This is really cool. The walking in place thing is weird at first but it's surprisingly intuitive when you stop thinking too hard about your movements. I had to do a physical hack on my dream vision headset to make the magnetic trigger work. Hopefully it works this well on other csrdboard games. Are there more levels out there?

5 ★ Fantastic game! Can be cheated a little by taking boxes through doors. (but hey, maybe that's left in for speed runners?)

5 ★ I love this vr puzzle game! The physics are smooth, the framerate is good, and the graphics are really good compare to other vr games!
