Description

Tigris & Euphrates is set in the ancient fertile crescent with players building civilizations through tile placement.

★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★★

In fertile Mesopotamia between the Tigris and Euphrates rivers, lies the cradle of civilization.

Your goal is to develop all 4 of the key spheres of civilization: Settlements, Temples, Farms, and Markets. To do this, you will position your leaders, create and extend kingdoms, build monuments, and resolve conflicts. Tension arises when kingdoms connect and leaders clash on the board, with only one leader of each type surviving. You will thus aquire victory points in each of the four spheres. The winner is the player who develops their civilization in the most balanced way, without revealing a sphere of weakness.

With no setup time required, no pieces to lose, and no arguments about the rules, the future of board games is here and Tigris & Euphrates gives you exactly what you want -- to play!

How to play:

During their turn, the active player may carry out up to two of the following actions, in any order:

- Position (place, move or remove) a leader.
- Place a tile and earn a victory point.
- Place a catastrophe tile.
- Swap up to 6 tiles

The active player may choose two different actions, or the same action twice.

4 ★ The implementation is pretty good: I've only had one stability issue. No online multiplayer yet, but that's not a crucial feature. The game itself is engaging, the interface doesn't get in my way, and the tutorial was pretty helpful, although it requires a play or two before the strategy really sinks in.

4 ★ One star taken off for the direct port, but that's totally understandable given the nature of the app. It's well done, the AI does a pretty good job, and it runs great on the variety of devices I have tried it on. Hope more boardgames come to the android side of things like this. Very well done.

2 ★ Crashes too often. Couldnt finish a single game in hot seat and can't resume. Will increase rate in next update if fixed. Other then that awesome game! Edit months later dev still not touched the release. Last time I give them money

4 ★ Great implementation of T&E. The interface is well-designed, the artwork is beautiful, and the soundtrack matches well the era of the theme of this game. Sadly it appears Codito is getting out of game dev for a while.... so not only will this not get updated but neither will their iOS games. So take it for what it is and hope for the future!

4 ★ Great game and transfers really well to the tablet. But loses one star for being 4:3 only - pretty poor not to support native resolutions. Presumably this is an iOS port but the devs should really try a little harder - it's so good otherwise!

5 ★ I've never played the board game, but this app is very good. AI is strong, definitely will challenge you every game, especially with 3+ players. Every move (almost) has an undo option, which is very handy. Graphics are crisp and clear on my Droid.

1 ★ Highly disappointing iPhone aspect ratio. Cheap port. Unnecessary use of invasive permissions. If the game updates to support proper screen sizes for Android then it might be worth checking out. Hopefully it'll update to add online multiplayer with the new Games service too.

3 ★ Of course this remains one of the most awesome board game mechanisms. But the UI is often confusing. The AI is very simple, not providing much surprises (I. E. In conflicts). The game is lost if you close the application. Would be nice to restore it. There is no multi-player which could be cool.

1 ★ This is actually an awesome app version of a fantastic board game. I am giving one star to make sure the developer takes notice of my complaint. Large android navigation buttons eat up a big chunk of screen instead of being hidden. Fix this and I'll gladly change my review to a solid 5 stars.

2 ★ The need to phone home when offline is a huge detriment. I buy tablet games with pass and play for situations where I may not have network. Decent implementation, but if I can't play it when I want to that's disappointing. I understand the need to protect IP, but it should be done in a way that doesn't interfere with the user experience.

3 ★ New to Euro games and really enjoying it. That being said, this kind of burns batteries, had frozen on me a few times, and has some other minor user interface issues. Not a deal breaker, but I wish it was a little more polished.

5 ★ This game does pretty much everything right. The tutorial, while spartan, does a great job teaching the game, and the interface is perfect on any sized screen. I have had absolutely no issues with stability, and the AI puts up a good fight. Bravo to the developers. I hope to see more board game adaptations of this calibre on Android.

2 ★ Excellent implementation of the classic board game, but is lacking in support. Temple building on the 4x river location causes a corrupted file. AI can build there, player cannot. Ziggurat expansion, alternate board, monuments, etc would be excellent additions. Note II

5 ★ Can't say much else about this game other than it is beautifully executed and you should immediately buy it if you like board games or strategy games in general. Plays great on my HTC OneXL, and on my old Acer tablet it looks magnificent. The UI changes on a tablet to resemble an actual table top setup. It's great. Some are complaining that there is a steep learning curve. If you read the rules, THEN walk through the tutorial, I feel like it should be very easy to pick up for folks that play board games regularly. My only feature request would be for online, possibly asynchronous multiplayer.

5 ★ Far too often have turn based and board games been trialled on the latest gadgets and far too often do they fall short of basic expectations. This does not. Great work. I'll be following your work from now on, guys. Awesome.
