Description
The tris (also known as thread, row three, cross and ball, zero for, circles and crosses, tria, OXO, XOXO) is a very popular game of paper and pencil abstract with perfect information. It is played on a square grid of 3 × 3 squares.
In turn, players choose an empty cell and draw their own symbol (usually a player has an "X" symbol and the opponent has a circle). The player who manages to place three of his own symbols in a straight, horizontal or vertical line is the winner. If the grid is filled without any of the players being able to complete a straight line of three symbols, the game ends in a tie. In the event that the game ended in a tie, the game is called "draw", as in the chess board game.
