IMPORTANT: THIS APP HAS THE SAME LEVELS AS SLICE FRACTIONS, BUT UNLOCKS ALL LEVELS FOR EASIER DEVICE SHARING AND PROVIDES A TEACHER'S GUIDE.
The game sets itself apart from other apps because it has broken down the foundational knowledge that students need to understand in order to truly grasp what a fraction is. Teaching those fundamentals without the interference of words, makes this a product that could reach those students who have not understood the concept of fractions in traditional ways.

5 ★ Great tool for teaching kids fractions.
5 ★ Research based, fun, intuitive exploration. It relates concepts in a very natural, scaffolded, in intimidating way. My 4th and 5th graders love it! Adults find it interesting too.
5 ★ This is excellent for teaching the elements of fractions. It covers a lot of material in one app. The problem solving is intriguing and the slightly mad collection of hats to win turned out to be pretty motivating. My grandson kept going for an hour or so, before wanting to stop - which I thought was brilliant. One improvement - introduce separate score keeping so two or three children can play on tbe same tablet.
