fixed problem with reading VIN for 2012+ vehicles

PARscan reader is used with a bluetooth ELM327 diagnostic tool to read/clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTC) and and check for compatibility with PARscan Pro.
PARscan works on several different Jeep, Dodge, and Chrysler vehicles with a primary focus on the Jeep Wrangler (JK) and Dodge Ram.

PARscan Reader Key Features:
Read Diagnostic Trouble Codes from all supported modules
Clear Diagnostic Trouble Codes from all supported modules
Read the following sensors: Steering Wheel angle, DOOR ajar, Fuel Level, Passenger Weight, and TPMS wheel Psi

PARscan Pro adds the following capabilities:
Program Tire Pressure Monitoring System Limits
Program Tire Size, Axle Ratio, and 4WD Low Ratio
Enabled/Disable Day Time Running Lights
Enabled/Disable One Touch Lane Change
Set a temporary high idle
brake bleed


Known Vehicle Compatibility includes:
Jeep Wrangler JK (2007 to 2018)
Dodge Ram Trucks 1500/2500 (2006 to 2011)
Dodge and Chrysler Minivans (2008-2010)

It may work on newer vehicles and other makes, such as a Grand Cherokee 05+, Jeep Patriot, or Jeep Commander.

PARscan is limited to vehicles using a CAN bus interface. Any CAN-based Chrysler/Jeep/ Dodge vehicle might be compatible. In general, if it can read and display the programmable information (i.e. tire size, axle ratio, tire pressure limits, etc.) properly then it should be able to update it.

A low cost ELM327 clone can be used!

PARscan Pro can clear DTCs

WIFI ELM327 adpaters are not supported at this time.

PARscan is a work in-progress (and always will be). It stores encrypted session files in a PARSCAN folder. If PARscan doesn't work on your vehicle, send me those files and I can try to improve compatibility in the next release.
