Description
File manager app with file compress & file extract features! ALZip on the Android is not only a tool to zip or unzip files, but also a file manager to open, copy, move, delete or rename files. ALZip includes every function of file managing app and file compression app.

1. Zip & Unzip
ALZip can compress files into zip, egg and alz formats, and extract zip, rar, 7z, egg, alz, tar, tbz, tbz2, tgz, lzh, jar, gz, bz, bz2, lha files and split archive of alz, egg and rar.
You can also decompress files larger than 4GB.
2. File Manager
ALZip can create folder, delete/copy/ move/rename files and use the properties function just like the PC.
3. Convenient File Explorer
ALZip has a convenient file explorer interface to find local files without any difficulties.
4. Archive Image Viewer
Image files inside the archive can be viewed without being extracted.
5. Searching Files
With ALZip file explorer, files or folders can be searched including which in subfolders. File manager function is available after searching.
6. Drag&Drop Functions
When drag & dropped file or folder to:
- another folder in file explorer will move or copy it.
- a file will compress them to an archive.
- a compressed archive will add it to the archive.

8. Archive As An Explorer
Open compressed archive like a folder and add files to Favorites, just like a file explorer. In addition, folders can be attached to email or uploaded to the cloud.
[FAQ]
1. Cannot compress because the file size is too large.
> Now you can unzip files larger than 4GB.
However, decompressing a file that is too large can put a strain on the system environment and cause a release error.
Please note that files larger than 4GB can not be released on external memory of 32GB or less using FAT32 format.
2. Cannot access the external memory in the explorer.
> Please check if you are using the KitKat version (4.4). KitKat limits the previledge to write to the external memory. If the problem happens in other versions, please contact us at m_altools@estsoft.com.
3. Characters in archive are broken.
Change the language by pressing the Encode button on the top-right.

Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows an application to request installing packages.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

3 ★ I can not give ALZip app access to external storage. I can not find away to write to external storage.
3 ★ I've been using this particular file manager for awhile and loved it. I say "loved" because since I've updated there are now ads, uggghhhh why?!!!! The app WAS perfect. It does everything I needed it to and I love when apps give the user some kind of customization feature/option. Now with the ads added I don't know if I'll continue using this app. No need for the developer to reply, I've read the other responses that ads are staying and there's no paid option to remove the ads.
2 ★ It seemed a good app but I had to uninstall it as it seems it cannot access my local network. It also asks permission to access the SD card every time you try to go there. Even then it will not open a 7zip file on the SD card ! It has to be in main storage to work at all. More work needed ?
5 ★ Got it for mass unzipping and moving font files and it worked great! I really do like/value the swiping option more than I thought I would. I'd truly be spoiled if there was the option to Select multiple folders without having to touch each individual folder (when the Select All doesn't apply, and you can't narrow by file type). Like selecting a first folder and a last folder and it then selects all files in between.
2 ★ 1. Wish font & colors customization ! Too much contrast between black & white pages. Uncomfortable to stay long on the app. (ref. Total Commander) 2. Wish to change pages by horizontal finger gesture on any point of pages. 3. Wish fast page changing. 4. Wish 2nd page(white page) can be resizable for flexible positionning to help simultaneous quick job on 2 columns in 1 screen, in case of need. 5. Wish additional page for classified file categories (ref. My Files or S Finder)
3 ★ Needs Duel pane option so you can compress from internal memory to external SD card to save space on internal memory, & compare two folders/archives content including sub Directorys with option to turn off comparison by date due to Android changing dates of files for no reason at all.
5 ★ Great App! There are so many .zip apps on Android that are hot garbage, and I am happy to say that this app is not! It is easy to use, does what it is supposed to, and doesn't try to sell you a subscription. Superb work!
5 ★ I like this app and I'm constantly using it for a simple and intuitive interface. Thanks to the development team. After switching to the Android Pie, application always unnecessarily requests an SD card storage permission when renaming a folder. Please fix renaming folders on Android Pie.
4 ★ Would be a 5 🌟 if after hitting the back button in main page the app would exit instead of going to the root directory which most of the people don't use. This also creates a trouble if you want to find back the correct folder of the internal storage

4 ★ Down load is delayed and must be transferable to sd card .Better to password protects tough with one word one character one number compulsory for archive.

1 ★ Can not do anything with it wasted internet to download. just keeps saying select sd card and asking to allow wright over other apps. only want to open a .zip file
