Description
Chord ai listens to the music played from your device, from any video/audio streaming service or played live around you, and detects the chords instantly. Then it shows you the finger positions to play the song on your Guitar, Piano or Ukulele.
It is a great tool for a novice to learn his favorite song and for an experienced musician to transcribe the details of a song when rare chords are played.
Chord ai includes:
- Chord recognition (more precise than all other apps)
- Beats and tempo detection (BPM)
- Tonality detection
- Lyrics recognition and alignment (karaoke-like alignment)
Chord ai has a FREE version, enabling the recognition of basic chords:
- major and minor
- augmented, diminished
- 7th, M7th
- suspended (sus2, sus4)
In the PRO version, you can store playlists, and backup on your drive, and the chord recognition has more precision. It provides an optimal finger position and recognizes thousands of advanced chords such as:
- power chords
- half-diminished, dim7, M7b5, M7#5
- 6th, 69th, 9th, M9th, 11th, M11th, 13th, M13th
- add9, add11, add#11, addb13, add13
- 7#5, 7b5, 7#9, 7b9, 69, 11b5, 13b9,
and combinations of the above! (such as 9sus4, min7add13 etc.)
- chord inversions such as C/E are also included
Chord ai also comes with a massive library of chord positions for guitar and ukulele players. It is the ultimate guitar learning tool. Guitar tabs are not yet supported but it will come eventually.
Chord ai even works offline and it is full privacy preserving. You don't need an internet connection (unless you want to play a song from some video or audio streaming services).
How does Chord ai work? Chord ai can track the chords of a song in three ways:
1) Through your device microphone. Any song playing around you, or played by your device, is analyzed through your device microphone and the chord positions are shown in real time. You can go back in time and replay the song with the chords displayed on a timeline.
2) For audio files that you have on your device, Chord ai will process the file in a few seconds chordifying this whole song at once.
3) Chord ai is compatible with the common audio and video streaming services.

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an application to modify global audio settings.

4 ★ not good! chords mismatch. So, I used the basic version of the app. There were three issues. 1. The chords for a particular song was not shown correctly. 2. In another song, it only showed one chord throughout the song. Later, for the same song it showed multiple chords. 3. It says only premiere version has more precise suggestion for chords, which was confusing.
5 ★ I think this player is Great!!! You can transpose or change pitch slow the song down to 50% and the song is still in pitch and it shows you guitar chords even shows precise chords the 10.00 dollars is worth every penny I think!!
5 ★ Great app for learning. Bought the pro version straight away after seeing how good this app is. The transpose feature is a real big plus as it allows you to see how chords look in a different key. Often artists play on YouTube in a different key to how the song was written or even with a tone or semitone down tuned. This transpose feature helps sort that problem out. Quick question. I put this on my tablet can I also put the pro version on my mobile phone without paying twice?
4 ★ I've had a couple of weeks to work with the app now. In fact, it ( particularly the Precise/paid version ) does apparently work as advertised. Like many others, I realize that jazz transcriptions present their own set of challenges for you as developers. But as you have said, the algorithm is a work in progress. I think that the most efficient way to deal with the issue is to email you a specific pdf. Having said that for now, the only reason that I am withholding the final star is cosmetic. It apparently does not include landscape orientation. Please note that I do have auto-rotate turned on in the display settings for my device. I'm reasonably certain that it is a fix that the developer(s) can accomplish. Typically a musician is going to be playing along when watching. And although I can't speak for anyone else when I'm looking at this it, I'd like to be able to set it on top of my keyboard so that it has a low profile and center of gravity. With landscape orientation there is a lowered center of mass. Please include landscape orientation/auto-rotate and when that is done, I will be able to advance your rating to a full five stars. I will do a follow up evaluation in 30 days. I thank you in advance
5 ★ I'm stunned by this app. If this is actually what it appears to be, it makes all the others obsolete. I'm still skeptical, still waiting for the money punch I didn't expect. But I'm beginning to think there isn't one. And it will kill Chordify in a year. At this point, I'd give it ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ if it were possible. And they offer a shockingly complete chord glossary, too. Apps are almost always a disappointment, as we know; this looks to be the grand exception. Highest recommendation.
5 ★ App is sooo good. The UI is great and smooth. Works really fast on my old android device. Chords are absolutely spot on. I've purchased the premium feature as well just to show my support for the developers. I've never seen an app like this with such excellent UI and chord precision. Only one feature missing - Landscape orientation.
4 ★ It's good. lean towards another app of similar fashion that I feel is easier to use the application in general. In all fairness, I'll need to use this app more often to accurately review. I like being able to use the microphone to get the notes from a song playing on youtube.
5 ★ This app is incredible. Very straightforward and simple. I use it to play songs on the piano transcribed from guitar songs that I capo to suit my voice. If I could give it more stars I would, and even though they offer so much for free, I will happily pay for the pro version when I can. Thank you!!
2 ★ Somewhat accurate. A few app crashes in the first 10 minutes of use. Some chord voicing for guitar show multiple notes on one string which is very confusing. Unfortunately it's just not very accurate or robust.
5 ★ As a new instrument learner, who can dabble on keyboard chords, I find this app extremely useful, especially the fact that one can juxtapose the keyboard and the ukulele/guitar side by side to learn chords on either instrument and the real time identification of chords even from YouTube! What more could a music fanatic could ask for🙂🙏 It's a need perfectly fulfilled, in a very meaningful way. Thank You so much for developing the app!
5 ★ Total beginner, found it by accident. My friend said it couldn't be done, ha - took him only 60 seconds to try and fool it with weird cords. I called out every one and he quit and asked me the name of the app to download.

5 ★ Really impressive, I write alot of riffs from feel and my theory is next to useless, this app listens to my recordings and tells me all the cords I'm playing...it's much easier then to give an idea to other musicians what it is you're playing exactly.
