Replaces Café Appliances app, Monogram app, and GE Laundry app.

SmartHQ 1.0.0.103.4 APK requires following permissions:

3 ★ I don't know if it's the app or the built-in wifi, but my washer and dryer were the easiest to get connected to my home network. The actual usefulness of the app, however, is debatable. It lets me know my clothes are almost done or done which I also know l because I hear the physical units chiming at me. Removing my washing machine from my home network and connected to my guest network, however, could not be done easily within the app and required me to contact tech support. Technical support is super responsive, though, so bonus points for that.
4 ★ It's nice to be able to control the AC and I really like the power consumption graph so you can view the KW used each day. The app take a long time to load and runs rather slow though. (My kyocera is not a super-fast phone, but this is about the slowest app I have on it). I haven't had it lock up yet. So the overall the app is not the best, but ads some convenience for controlling the window unit.
1 ★ This app is not very good. It almost seems like they developed the app as a selling point for appliances. In reality they hoped nobody would actually use the app. It's glitchy, does not register user input from the app to turn on the oven. The only feature I found to work was the video camera. It has potential to be a really awesome feature with some significant reprogramming of the software.
1 ★ Just doesn't work. I got a GE profile low noise window AC and this app is useless. Was easy to set up, but other than telling you the amount of power you are using the other settings never seem to transfer to the AC. I create a schedule and it never does it. I tell it to change modes/temps/whatever and it never transfers over to the AC. It makes the AC useless since it doesn't have the buttons on the device to do these things, it requires you use the app. The app doesn't even have all functions.
2 ★ When it works, kinda convenient. Usually, the launch screen pops up and the app never loads. When it does load, it can be quite slow to connect to the AC unit. Thankfully, they decided to include the old fashioned timer feature on this AC, accessed through a remote control. Some of the GE air conditioners only can be set on a "schedule" through the app, which is really annoying. The timer is far more useful and reliable. A 7 day schedule isn't great when the weather is constantly changing
5 ★ So far so good. The is a nice feature since i purchased a portable air conditioner. It does everything it is supposed to do. Nice features are turning on and off so if i am on my way home i can turn the unit on and have a confortable room. I like it so far. Also shows on app the room temperature of how warm your room is when you log into the app and then turn on the a/c. Adjust fan speed and temperature. Would recommend.
4 ★ It's a decent enough app - I have one of the air conditioners that use this app and I do like how it shows your power consumption. My biggest complaint with this app is that it takes quite some time to connect to the appliance. I'm usually waiting about half a minute while it finds and connects to the appliance. I also feel the interface and controls could afford to be a little more intuitive and user friendly.
2 ★ I normally don't do reviews, but this app has so much potential yet is so unnecessary in the condition its in. I'm really not sure what the point of this app is; at least for use with the washer and dryer. I was so excited to try it out but then realized its kinda pointless. Both appliances notify you when there's 5 minutes left to a cycle and when they finish which I guess is nice for someone who has trouble remembering they're doing laundry; however, if I'm out of the house its not like I'm going to stop what I'm doing and run back home to transfer the clothes from the washing machine to the dryer or remove the clothes from the dryer. Being able to start the Washer remotely is kinda cool, but it also has a delay start option where you can tell it when to start at the time you're programming everything for that particular load which kind of defeats the purpose in the remote start feature in my opinion. Plus, if you already have issues remembering you're doing laundry, I highly doubt you'd remember to remote start the machine later on. :) Like I mentioned previously, the dryer also notifies you when its finished and when the clothes haven't been removed within 30 minutes, but again; if I'm out of the house its not like I"m going to run home to remove them and what do I care if dry clothes sit in the dryer or in a clothes basket until I'm ready to hang or fold them. There's an option to tell the dryer to continue tumbling for up to an hour, I think, but if you don't choose the option at the right time you lose the ability to use it at all because the dryer turns itself off and you can't turn it back on through the app; so convenient, right!? So in summary; I feel like someone probably put in a lot of work on this app for people to be able to do so little with it; at least as it pertains to using it with the Washer and Dryer. Also, I couldn't find any instructions detailing what all I could do with the app which made things more frustrating because I had to learn by trail and error to figure out what all I couldn't do. LOL!
2 ★ I'm very unimpressed with this app, and regret paying extra on my appliances for wifi integration. The app is slow to communicate with my appliances, and really only sends notifications on when the appliance is finished running. I did not get any kitchen related appliances, however the app always has a cookbook or recipe feature in the menu-- which is weird and completely unnecessary, borderline useless... And just adds to the clutter. I guess next time I'll check the app first.
1 ★ No longer works right! When I first got my washer and dryer it would notify me as I have it set up to do so. This thing doesn't do anything now. If I want to know I have to go into the app and manually look even though all settings are set up where I should be notified! I forget easy and that was the entire reason for this app for me! Please fix your problems as this is a HUGE let down.
2 ★ Works with issues. I have this app for two window air conditioners I recently purchased. The app works ok but is slow to connect to either unit. That may be the wifi card in the units rather than this app. What this app lacks is the ability to name your appliances, so for the two ACs I have they both show as Air Conditioner on the menu and no way to know which one is for which room.
5 ★ Awesome control... Love the ability to control room temp. To be able to shut it off if i forget when i leave or cool the room down before i get home on a hot day.
1 ★ Wow, is this thing bad. I mean next level awful. Want to open the app and lower the temp? Prepare to wait 60 seconds. Then as you maneuver in the app, each click your greeted with connecting to appliance over and over again. I was about to forgive the 10 MINUTE setup time, as it connects to thier cloud system, your wifi and the air conditioner. I mean wow! DO NOT RELY ON THIS for a smart device. Just ignore it anf get a sensibo or cielo device.
2 ★ Not extremely helpful. Have it for fridge, it displays the set temp but not the actual temp. When the temp rose above alarm level the "notification" never appeared on phone, only in notification history. When the app was opened the temp displayed seemed to indicate that temp was ok, but it was actually 20 degrees higher. No alert when door ajar, although you can open the app and see the status. Who takes time to constantly open a fridge app to check door status.
3 ★ My alerts for laundry devices work pretty consistently. Opening the app and getting initial status of appliances takes a while. Browsing between screens takes a long time, but once loaded, it reliably shows status of appliances. Not a great app, not the worst either. I was assuming that I'd be able to control the dryer from the "off" state and tell it to run remotely, but it appears I can only see current status. It would be beneficial to make the app load faster and move between screens better, but maybe they'd need a hub for that. Good enough for now, serves its purpose.
