5 ★ This app is great for learning new vocabulary. I've been using it to help with my Japanese vocabulary and I like the way you memorize your words. I have the free version and it works fine. This app isn't enough to fully learn a languge (grammer wise) but it's great for you if you have trouble memorizing everyday vocabulary.
5 ★ Possibly my new favourite language learning app, though it is really just for vocabulary. What I like most about it is it mostly uses the target language and images, and has a decent focus on listening. Unlike other apps where you spend a lot of time reading and writing in the L1. Beautifully designed and also great for kids.
4 ★ When I found out I could only do 5 minutes a day I was pretty mad. But when the app gave me 5 extra minutes, doing the lessons felt more like a time trial game of how many words could I do in x amount of time. Wish the 5 minutes only was not forced but a suggestion (like Duolingo). Like 10 or 15 minutes would be good but I digress. Good app, probably would be better if you bought premium.
4 ★ I like this more than Duolingo (although I used both, Duolingo is more for grammar in my opinion) I don't recommend buying the premium bc it defeats the purpose of the app, but that isn't me telling you not to If you want it, you're brain only retains so much and the five minute practices has drastically improved my ability to understand the words and retain them better.
5 ★ As I'm learning g korean language, its good app for beginners, makes us learn like a child and this is the plus point. But I hope you increase time from 5 minutes to 10 minutes because the learners who can't take premium, it will be good for them cause 5 minutes is less time. Please if you can add 5 minutes more it will be good....
5 ★ I have the paid version and the app is really good. The only exception is that instead of getting one appropriate "do your lesson today" notification, I often get two or more with one being a reminder about missing a day being okay even when I haven't missed a day. I would suggest only pushing the 2 day rule notification if a day has actually been missed.
4 ★ The app is great for most purposes, but sometimes it tries to teach you entire sentences and I've regularly found that their translations are far from accurate. Also the backup checker is borked, it says the last backup was months ago, but when signing in on another device the app syncs the most recent data.
5 ★ Very good experience. Fortunately I got the lifetime premium during the new year's sale and it's absolutely great since I'm learning mandarin and japanese. Highly recommend the app to memorize vocabulary and set phrases. Take into account that its basically just for that, you'll definitely need to use other apps for grammar or other aspects of language learning. Having all that in mind, it is great for the vocabulary aspect!
5 ★ Good product. I like being able to review words in the dojo until they become second nature. I wish it did a better job teaching how to use proper sentences instead of single words or phrases but there are other apps for that. Would recommend.
3 ★ Sometimes the vocals say something like "lo se" or "José" when there are 4 choices. The 4 choices may be all things I know, but my answer is incorrect because the vocals are incorrect. This has happened 2 times now, and I hope the issue gets corrected.
5 ★ So far it's been great! I have pretty bad ADHD so this app's perfect. The fast, repetitive lessons make it easy to learn and retain the words. I also love the idea that I don't need to pay to learn and that Premium, (while tempting) isn't necessary in order to enjoy everyday use.
2 ★ I can only speak for the Spanish lessons on the app, and I've only done a few lessons, but the way it teaches you is by associating words with pictures, except some of the pictures can represent multiple things and it can get kind of annoying/confusing. Also, maybe this is just because I'm only three lessons in, but I'm just learning random words and not sentences or prefixes/suffixes. I think Dulingo is a better language learning app, though I use both atm.
5 ★ Many have problems with 5 minutes a day, but I have found that is what motivates me to keep going. The longer you build a habit, the more minutes the app awards you with. Consistency is key to learning, and despite it looking like a punishment for not paying, it keeps you wanting to come back and rewards when you do. The non-invasive ads are fine since it's free. Feels like a game. You have to actively learn by saying the words it also says out loud for learning to be most effective. Try.
3 ★ Some of the phrases cannot be used in other contexts than the images shown (e.g. the app provides a picture of a person cleaning a toilet and says that "I scrub" in Spanish is "yo limpio el escusado," which specifically means "I clean the toilet.") I worry that this app won't make me truly comprehend the language, and I'll improperly use some words/phrases in certain contexts that they do not work in. (e.g it would be weird if I'm trying to scrub dishes and I say "yo limpio el escusado")
5 ★ I love this app. I have never felt like I was making any progress with my language learning, but having the visuals to connect to the words/sentences has made a huge difference.
