Description
AppChoices gives you transparency with participating companies, and lets you limit their collection of cross-app data for interest-based ads. Brought to you by the Digital Advertising Alliance, and backed up by the DAA’s independent accountability program, AppChoices lets you opt out from interest-based advertising with a particular company, or “Choose All Companies” with one simple click.
Did you know that some of the ads you receive in apps are customized based on predictions about your interests generated from your app usage? This is called interest-based advertising (IBA). AppChoices gives you choices about whether you receive this type of advertising that is based on cross-app data collected over time across different apps and devices. To opt out of IBA with a particular company, simply set the switch next to the company’s logo from “ON” to “OFF.” AppChoices lets you decide which, if any, participating companies deliver interest-based advertising to your device.
When it comes to ads in your apps based on your interests, it’s your choice.
California residents may also use AppChoices to submit requests to opt out from the sale of personal information under the CCPA for this device for some or all of the participating companies. To request an opt out for a particular company, set the Status button located next to the company's logo to "Send." Select "CA Opt Out Send All" to opt out from all the listed companies. To learn more about a particular company's policies, click on its logo.

You may still receive other types of advertising in your apps from participating DAA companies, and these companies (and other apps) may still collect information for other purposes consistent with the DAA Principles. The CCPA opt outs provided through this Tool apply to the sale of personal information by participating companies. You may still receive advertisements that do not involve the sale of personal information subject to the CCPA.

App permissions
AppChoices 1.5.11 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
Allows an app to access approximate location.

3 ★ Insightful to see how many companies are interested in collecting your data. Regularly resetting your advertising ID could be another strategy. Exodus privacy shows the code signature of one embedded tracker in AppChoices (OneSignal) which ironically sends you ads. Note this isn't a "pop-up" blocker, adjust your expectation accordingly.
4 ★ This is a necessary app for anyone, giving power to the user to control what third party companies know about you and share with you and others. There needs to be an "undo" tool and there isn't, which is why I dropped my rating by one star.
1 ★ Were is my choice were does it come into play I tried to opt out of the ad choice that were controlling the settings in Google but was denied I have tried to alert everyone one of what is taking place today you have all been compromised by a new wave attack one that can not be detected and is coming from with in your inner comuty this group has control of everything they have worked on apps in the store that are behind the breach on Microsoft and Chrome this a group that 😉 😀 😜 this 😳 👌 🤣
2 ★ So strange. If you have the Zoom Level of your android display set to max, this app crashes when "Choosing All" to opt out from. Thus, to users, I would recommend going to Display>Zoom>and lower to 50%. Also, in your browser on your phone, allow 3rd party cookies. Then choose all for both the IBA and CCPA tools. Also, manually go to these sites on your browser and opt out of all. Then, change your bowser settings to block all 3rd party cookies and change your Zoom level higher.

4 ★ This is a must have app, for customization of your ads Choice in Google. Fast and clear. It makes ads more tailored to your needs. Easy to setup and use. "I can't stand ads." But if you got to have ads, this is the best way to view them. Excellent Learning App! 👍

4 ★ Honestly, I don't mind advertisements. However, recently I have received a large amount of ads that aren't actually offering services. Instead, anonymous businesses just pretend to offer services. Their intention is to collect pii and sell it to the highest bidder... They aren't actually interested in providing a service, or being intermediaries. This is bad for business. It creates mistrust. Bad for seller and buyer. This slows down the search process; at everyones expense. Good Start
