App permissions

Hughesnet Mobile 7.2.1 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.

Allows an app to use fingerprint hardware.

Allows an application to read from external storage.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

4 ★ I don't like that have to download app to be able to buy data token. I should be able to buy them without this download. I pay way to much for service as is, and I shouldn't need to buy token sense I pay $130.00 a month. Sometime I pay more and don't understand why my bill go up every month. Im about to switch company as I pay to much for service and service still sucks. Good app, bad company.

1 ★ By far the absolute WORST internet experience I've had in my life. Can not wait for my contract to expire. I'll use my phone as a Hotspot before renewing a contract with Hughesnet.

2 ★ Very slow. Does not let me use my address and keeps telling me it is incorrect. When infact it is my correct address! Just another perk from POS hughsnet! Can't wait to ditch these money sucking leeches when broadbands available.

1 ★ We are newly moved into a rural area and had no other choice for internet. In hindsight, we should have tried a hotspot via cellphone first, but good grief we did NOT anticipate exactly how bad this was going to be. Internet COMPLETELY nonfunctional, streams less than 2 minutes of a youtube video on the lowest resolution and then buffers for 2+ minutes. App doesn't reflect usage. Hughesnet is preying on consumers with no other internet option. Not having internet at all is a better alternative.

1 ★ Hughesnet as an Internet service is terrible and soon will go away, due to Broadband being installed in our rural county. The app is really good because it shows you how crappie the service really is, when you have data remaining and it still running about the speed of mid nineties AOL speed. Great job Hughesnet, keep up the great work!!!!

1 ★ Hard to navigate. I tried to access my invoice and could only see less than half the page, couldn't see what I was being charged for. That's about what I expected from Hughesnet, half ass service. Only choice I have for internet access where I live.

5 ★ Its great. Im having some problems with it, i need to have the modem set up correctly with more passwords.

2 ★ Hugesnet app is good for buying additional data and paying a bill,, but the time lag to get accurate usage data is much longer than the old original app and no longer useful in my opinion. PC acess to the company is bit more functional but is cumbersome to use. Im keeping my rating at 2 stars.

1 ★ HughesNet is terrible. 25MBPS is a joke. Not once ever have i gotten close to that. Cannot watch anything that streams or it just buffers

2 ★ Good app but missing self service options for mexican customers(accounts). I want to be able to change my plan on the app, I have a couple of friends with hmx accounts and they also are not able to change the service plan on this app. Please fix or add option and then I will rate 5 🤩

1 ★ What a racket i cant believe this is legal. My phone streams better than hughes, app doesn't show usage, connection drops every 2 minutes this is the worst service ever near useless. They must make most of their money charging 400 dollar early termination fees. WORST company ever Having no other choice and lied to by sales girl I felt backed into a corner now I'm stuck with them basically stealing almost 100 bucks a month for a service they barely provide for 2 years or pay 500 to cancel SHAME!

3 ★ As far as satellite reception it's a hit and miss nothing beats cable or fiber optics but satellite you get what you pay for

3 ★ Previously you could set the app for dvd quality for videos. Since I updated it, it won't stay on. Disappointing and hopefully soon to be fixed.

1 ★ Hughesnet is awful! Unfortunately it's all that's available in this area. Hoping... waiting for cable access. Overpriced and lousy service is what you get. The money they waste on commercials should be used on improving their service.

1 ★ The app is garbage. The Useage Meter is completely non-funtional. Useless. Flying blind in the cloud!! LMAO! Junk.
