Bigg Boss 12 will be the twelfth season of Indian reality TV series Bigg Boss based on dutch series Big Brother that will be premier on 16th September on Colors.Salman Khan will host this season for the 9th time in a row.
Colors TV invited the common people to send their video clipt hrough a streaming application called Voot on 15th April in order to audition for the show. It was later revealed by the show makers that this season of the show would feature contestants in pairs (any sort of pair; friends, co-workers, spouses, siblings, etc). Therefore, declaring the theme "Vichitra Jodis" which translates to "Strange Pairs".
4 promos were shot on 10th August at Mehboob Studios in Mumbai and were respectively released each Sunday.The logo was accidentally unveiled on August 10 by the team on the Twitter handle which they later removed and was officially revealed a week later.
The launch press conference on 4th September took place in Goa for the first in the history instead of Mumbai. The first contestant and celebrity pair of this season was revealed during this conference who were comedian and actress Bharti Singh alongside her husband Harsh Limbachiyaa who is a writer.
On 11th of September two promos were released showing 2 'commoner' jodis one was a police officer Nirmal Singh and a lawyer Romil Choudhary pair another was a bihari singer Deepak Thakur (sang a Bollywood song) and his fan.
