Start with this super duper easy, two-minute, warm-weather ponytail. You can dress this one up or down depending on your destination, and it’s easy enough that anyone who can braid can recreate it. And yes, it really only takes two minutes!
Step One: Front Side Braid
Create a side braid starting at the top of your head and work your way down behind your ear. You can do a regular braid, or a half-French braid, depending on your preferences. Secure with an elastic.
Step Two: Nape Pony
Gather the bulk of your hair and create a low ponytail. Notice that you’re going to leave a section of hair out, as well as the braid you just created. Secure the ponytail at the nape of your neck, just off to the side.
Step Three: Wrap it Up
Grab the remaining hair and your braid and wrap it around the ponytail. Depending on the length of you hair, you may need to wrap several times. Continue wrapping until you run out of hair, then secure with two criss-crossed bobby pins. If you want, you can add an embellishment to spice things up a bit. We opted for a cute, yellow strawberry clip. If you wanted to go dressier, try something sparkly or use a vintage clip with a lot of pizazz.
