Ratings and Reviews

1 ★ News articles are decent. Getting bombarded with ads on a pay service is VERY annoying. If I'm paying $22 a month now, $40+ at the end of my trial service, should I have to watch ads on all videos and most articles? Very disruptive and annoying experience trying to get to the news. Please make ad free an option and give me some value for my subscription.
5 ★ One can continue to depend on the WSJ Editorial Board for integrity. The Journal overall, however, should strive to once again become a world's 'Newspaper of Record', a forgotten but slowly revitalizing concept with the world's readership. One can tolerate only so much of the NYT's / LA Times continuing clap before turning to alternatives. Having unbiased, detailed news, presented professionally, at a reasonable cost to a generalist readership is critical in so many ways.
5 ★ I find the cost for the WSJ via their app a bargain. I receive more and better national news from the WSJ than I do from the Miami Herald, which not what you'd expect from a business oriented paper. The app is easier to navigate than the apps for other major news organizations. I highly recommend the WSJ app for anyone who wants to be on top of business news and current events.
3 ★ Technically the app works as well as any other. Content is continuously recycled and lacks the daily update I expected. You would never buy a paper, day after day, if the front page was mostly the same. I hope when I decide to cancel my experience will be better than what I have read in recent reviews. (Update: A call in was required to cancel. Had to sit through a pitch about the exclusive benefits, blah blah blah. I let them speak. When it was quiet I said 'cancel please')
1 ★ Too many technical issues. Free trial doesn't work. All remedies don't work. If you like getting charged for no access then you will love not being able to read WSJ. Unlike WP or NYT there are zero issues with their subscription services.
4 ★ The reporting is excellent and purely reporting, which in this age is hard to find ( we migrated to the WSJ from the NYT despite the higher subscription rates because the NYT now editorializes within news stories). I really enjoy waking up and reading a broad spectrum of well-researched articles.
2 ★ The reason I am trashing the app is because I have a subscription. I get interrupted while reading to sign in. It seems like a little thing, but it's blocking me to the point, that I checked my debit card to make sure I am paying. Yes, I am getting billed. So stop interrupting me!
5 ★ The app works beautifully, and the content is top-notch. Be aware that opening a notification with a browser, rather than through the app, may cause a log-in screen to pop up. Settings on your phone may need to be changed to "always open links through the app."
5 ★ Great way to read the journal on the go. I get the paper version but love having this option. Especially since it also offers the latest news in addition to the days news and allows you to save articles. It's very easy to use and works flawlessly on my android phone.
3 ★ Love the app and articles themselves. I hate how I pay for a monthly subscription and still get ads. They need to fix this.
5 ★ Very much enjoy getting a good read every day from the various articles - a wealth of information in various subject matters. The articles are well versed and the app layout is great.
1 ★ I am rating my entire experience of WSJ, for when I tried cancel my $40/month subscription, not only that they made it impossible to do it online but made the entire process so unpleasant that I had to come and leave this negative review. WSJ's customer service process sucks! On the other hand, I tried the same with my HBR, and the process was so smooth and pleasant that I have nothing but the words of praise for them.
5 ★ Great content. Only complaint is a difficult search function. Over the pandemic year, editorials have diminished in quality - too much whining about Biden's policies.
3 ★ The Wall Street Journal is a great newspaper. The app has some problems. The IOS version is much better and has been for years. One big deficiency for me is the lack of market data. One of the things I do most often is to check the results of the stock market on the website. This data is not available from the app.
5 ★ New York Times no doubt a renowned paper.. I like it's reporting but differ some time there policies.. Which is good i think But it should be free for students 😎 there will always subscribe subscribe options Good luck for your more prosporety... Thank you..!!
