Description
• Access non-media files using the "Open in" button for installed applications (for example .txt, .pdf, .doc, .xls, .ppt)
• Access the internet while still connected to your MediaShare system
• List saved files in thumbnail view or filename list view
• Search for files using keyword search function
• View photo slideshows
• Play audio files as background music
• Attach saved files to e-mail or upload photos to Facebook
• Manage the Wi-Fi connection to your MediaShare system
Supports Android platforms running v2.2 and higher
App permissions
MediaShare Wireless 2.0.038 APK requires following permissions:
Allows an application to initiate a phone call without going through the Dialer user interface for the user to confirm the call.
Allows an application to broadcast sticky intents.
Allows an application to read or write the system settings.
Allows an application to modify the current configuration, such as locale.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows applications to enter Wi-Fi Multicast mode.
Allows applications to change Wi-Fi connectivity state.
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows mounting and unmounting file systems for removable storage.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows an application to write the user's contacts data.
Allows an application to read the user's contacts data.
Allows access to the list of accounts in the Accounts Service.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows applications to perform I/O operations over NFC.

2 ★ Why all the new permissions with the new update? I don't understand what it needs contacts etc for?
1 ★ Allow the app to my contacts, record audio, make calls? Seriously, this app should be reported

1 ★ I've had my Mediashare for some years, now and have always been pleased with it. Today you issued a software update, which I regrettably installed - it is broken. It won't run. It just reports that Mediashare Wireless "has stopped" or "keeps stopping". Please (re-)release a working version tout de suite.
5 ★ Great app if running out of space. I use 500GB External hard drive and 64GB SD Card with my old 16GB iPad. Brought it back from the rubbish cupboard. I also use it with my Nexus 5 which is also very short of space.
1 ★ DOESN'T WORK ON NOUGAT ANDROID 7 ....... Bought the bloody hardware after recommends from Amazon and Google.. ... worked for 10 days then... boom...... error on start-up.. ... sort it out this was a great app for a great bit of kit but now made the hardware an expensive battery backup ..... SORT IT OUT !
4 ★ If you have Nougat and this app crashes dowload Mediashare Mini instead. Mediashare Mini wont crash and will work with the regular mediashare hardware.
2 ★ Is support for this app now at an end? The software has been updated by the manufacturer and it no longer works rendering our hardware good for the landfill? Such a shame when useful tech becomes obsolete :"(
