Description
MEL Trial from British Gas makes viewing your energy so much simpler, which in turn, could make it even easier for you to save money. You can view your energy anywhere, anytime with just one tap.
You can use MEL Trial to:
• See your energy as you use it
• Monitor your energy usage to help you save money
• View and track your energy usage on the go, from anywhere, at any time
To be able to use the app, you will need smart meters from British Gas and an additional hardware device.
App permissions
MEL Trial 1.11.3 APK requires following permissions:
Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows applications to read the sync stats.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
This constant was deprecated in API level 21. No longer enforced.
Allows applications to read the sync settings.
Allows applications to write the sync settings.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

1 ★ When try to log in to my British gas account I get Error message "Sorry we seem to have technical trouble logging into your account..." this error has been coming up for weeks now, never seen the app working.
1 ★ Useless, won't allow me to login . Keeps saying my password or user name is incorrect which isn't true. The other app (my energy live) allowed login but won't show any usage information.

5 ★ This app works great for me which is why I've given it 5 stars. You can monitor your electric and gas while you're actually using it. You can see exactly how much you've spent by each second. No more nasty surprises when you get your quarterly bill
