Description
Image size:
The physical size and resolution of an image, measured in pixels. A higher image size setting produces a larger picture and a larger file size.
Resizing larger than original
Scaling an image larger than its original dimensions can make it appear fuzzy or pixelated.
Resizing smaller than original
Scaling an image smaller than its original dimensions doesn't usually affect quality as much.
Cropping:
Cropping an image involves cutting away part of it, which discards some pixels.
Uses for resizing:
Resizing images can be useful for making large files smaller so they can be shared online or emailed more easily. It can also be used to fit images to a specific page size for printing.
