If you are using a mobile terminal with Android 6 or earlier installed:
You need to activate the Canon Print Service for printing using it. The Canon Print Service is not activated immediately after installation. Activate it using one of the following methods.
- Tap the icon displayed in the notification area immediately after installation, and activate the service in the displayed settings screen.
- Tap [Settings] > [Printing] > [Canon Print Service], and activate the service in the displayed settings screen.
* If you are using a mobile terminal with Android 7 or later installed, the service is automatically activated after installation.

1 ★ This app is totally rubbish doesn't help me does it tell me what to do does it tell me what's wrong tells me absolutely nothing don't waste your time
1 ★ Terrible. It never works. Always shows an error or gets stuck in queue. You may be able to print 1 document via wireless MAYBE. After that it crashes.
3 ★ Printer connection no stable, sometime disconnected in the middle of print process.
1 ★ Printing with Canon is a nightmare. 95% of the times that I try to print, I get an error message stating that "this printer is not available." The plug-in that's needed is sketchy at best. Hundreds spent on a paperweight. Thanks Canon.
1 ★ Printer shows up when it wants to, otherwise doesn't. Garbage app. ... 2025 update: Still the same behavior, nothing fixed. Still garbage.
