App permissions

JBL Headphones 5.24.12 APK requires following permissions:

Allows applications to access information about networks.

Allows applications to connect to paired bluetooth devices.

Allows applications to discover and pair bluetooth devices.

Allows an app to access approximate location.

Allows an app to access precise location.

Allows applications to open network sockets.

Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.

Allows an application to write to external storage.

Allows an application to record audio.

Allows an application to modify global audio settings.

Required to be able to access the camera device.

Allows access to the vibrator.

Allows read only access to phone state, including the phone number of the device, current cellular network information, the status of any ongoing calls, and a list of any PhoneAccounts registered on the device.

Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.

1 ★ Almost useless. If I want to hear bass I need to having it set to bass. No other equalizer can do it. Making your own equalizer settings are useless because the volume goes down more than 50% for no reason. So you can use just 3 different equalization. Worst is that without this app you can't get the full potential of the headphones. Who made this app? An ignorant?

3 ★ 1. Increase EQ presets please (hip hop, country, classic, techno, r&b) 2. It's astonishing how location is necessary to use the app. It's inconvenient and frankly makes me a tad uneasy 3. My settings are immediately forgotten as soon as I log out of the app (i e: power off after 15 mins idle) it's immediate forgotten after i shut the app and my headphones ran for a good hour 😂

1 ★ I downloaded the app so that I could disable the extremely annoying Google Assistant notification that goes off every time I accidentally touch the left headphone. I wasn't able to access the app without consenting to a very troubling privacy agreement so I have not even opened it. Really disappointing.

1 ★ When i first got the app it was good but for some reason it will no longer let me turn on the "anc" or the "ambient aware" control or the control option for "video" or "music" playback.

2 ★ Redoing my review: It would be useful if it actually connected to my devices at all. It doesn't. Even if my phone is connected, the app doesn't recognize anything.

2 ★ It's terrible, extremely glitchy. Sadly, I need it to make my headphones sound good (EQ), but it keeps turning ANC off and so on. Really spoils the fun of a new pair of high quality headphones

1 ★ Can no longer find my headphones, it was working well but now not at all. My phone is having no problems so can still use the buds. But the app is rubbish now. I have tried resetting and re downloading but nothing works

2 ★ Gesture settings for Right earbud are not being saved. Changed double tap for Right to TalkThrough and it remained as NextTrack. I tried restarting, force stop of the app, return buds to the case and nothing seemed to work.

4 ★ It's a really good and straight forward app. Only complaint I have is that at times it takes time to recognize my headphones. Am using a Google pixel 3 and JBL free live NC +.

2 ★ Won't recognize JBL earbuds. I paired my earbuds to my phone successfully, but when I'm in the app, it tells me they can't find them, so I can't sync my headphones to my phone.

3 ★ Nice app really love it. But it's sad it doesn't save the settings of anc and the auto turn off. Please fix that and it will be perfect.

1 ★ NO GESTURE TO TURN BACK ON EARBUDS AFTER AUTO TURN OFF!!! Please also add more gestures e.g 3x press or hold for more function's. Also 2x press is unreliable, doesn't work when tapped too fast. Website shows bass EQ option but app only has piano, jazz, vocal. Had to make my own EQ as the stock EQ's suck, no bass! Site shows many DJ signature EQ's but app only has 2 which both sound the same as the stock piano, jazz EQ's. Considering one is a DJ signature EQ with no bass, those EQ's are way off.

1 ★ The headphones themselves function just fine but the fact that there is an app for these headphones but you can't remap any major functions with them or have them behave differently when only one is being used. Mandatory bloatware

1 ★ I couldn't able to connect my jbl live 220bt .and it is asking to disconnect the other devices on bluetooth which I couldn't really find out... Tried several times..but unsatisfied everytime

3 ★ The products themselves are great, but the software sucks. my live tune pro plus turn off automatically at random occasions, or ANC turns off ant talkthru on, which hurts your ears. EQ is great, but I'd love to have more touch customization.
