Description
- calculate the stand of your meadow from the sowing rates of the different species expressed in kg / ha.
- calculate the sowing rates in kg / ha of the different species of the mixture, starting from the proportion of each plant desired for your meadow.
Choose from 15 grasses and 10 legumes to compose your meadows.
Stand calculation:
The seed mix bags must contain the percentage by weight of the mixture of different species. As each species has a different Thousand Grain Weight (PMG), the calculator allows you to determine the percentage of each species in “number of seeds” in your mixture and therefore the theoretical population of your meadow. Note: seed emergence depends on the soil and climatic conditions of your meadow. The actual stand may therefore be different from the theoretical stand.
Composition of the mixture:
The composition of the mixture that you must sow to reach your theoretical objective is expressed as a percentage of the weight of each species in the mixture and in the seed density of each species.
Note: this is about theoretical population. Depending on the emergence of the different seeds, in your soil and climatic conditions, the stand on your meadow may be different.
